I realize this video is 6 years old but I am just seeing it in 2024. You are amazing and a gifted educator. Please continue to make more videos as new nurses are made everyday. Please continue your efforts to reach us. There just simply are not enough skilled educators with an emphasis on "skilled".

OMG THANK YOU! I've been an RN for 5 years but recently started working in a NICU and just could not understand Vents and Vent settings. This just broke it all down and made it so easy to understand!

Great video! Clear and concise. Only suggestion is with the endotracheal tube placement depth. This measurement should be taken at the upper teeth/gum instead of the lip. The reason is that the lips can swell over time, if there's facial trauma. This will look like the endotracheal tube moved, and is deeper than the confirmed depth via x-ray. This can lead to accidental extubation by trying to reposition tube placement and withdrawing the tube to pre-charted depth.
