I'm an orientee and my preceptors are absolutely useless. 7 weeks in and I feel like I've learned nothing from them. You give me that golden information I needed to learn to properly assess my patients. I tip my hat to you, madame.

Hi! Thanks so much for the lecture. Just wanna ask how does subcutaneous emphysema feel like? Is that the crepitus? Wondering how does crepitus feel like on pt with chest tubes? Thank you so much

Hello! Thanks for this good video. I want to ask the reason of tidaling. normal paitient(without pneumothorax) does not show tidaling but pneumothorax patient do, doesn't it? I want to know the difference. can you tell me?
@gaillupica9187
@gaillupica9187 2 года назад
Everyone would tidal. WE just don't see non-pneumo patients that have a chest tube.

@@gaillupica9187 In our hospital, use pigtail for pleural effusion drainage. And through that, only pneumothorax pt show oscillation. I want to figure it out, but hard;;

what keeps the water in the water seal from being sucked up?
@gaillupica9187
@gaillupica9187 4 года назад
It's too heavy. Heavier than air so that's how it can provide that water seal, as long as the "straw" is underneath the water seal line and therefore a closed system is maintained.
