I took a trip to Salem a year ago and went on a night tour with a friend, I then heard this song playing in one of the old buildings we checked out. Got chills when I heard it

Better do your homework, Black metal was out a year before slayers first album. It was Venoms second record, Venom are one of the bands Kerry and the band were influenced by. Cheers man

I honestly have no fucking clue how Venom managed to get as big as they did. They are not good muscians. They are'nt good song writers. I think the attention that they did manage to recieve was kust because of the Satan worship gimmick.

Nah you're problem is ye is one of them pretentious metal heads disillusioned by so called technical superiority with obviously no respect for thy roots. (I mean to enjoy and hate what you want, just splendid but have some respect guy). They started in 78' in england, There's so many overly produced cookie cutter metal bands out their that get way too much attention imo... this shit is rather original that's why they gets the attention they deserve..they also respect punks, where would extreme metal be without it..
