I used to love to let the deadheads listen to the dead until the acid really kicked in and then I would go over and throw in some Venom. Oh the rainbows and love vibe was just so powerful.

i remember the first time i heard this album. I was just discovering black metal so i got really confused! it took me a while to appreciate the beauty of this masterpiece. heh
@@sinisterking6009 i know. So is Bathory. But when people think of Black Metal they usually think of more modern type of black metal (which i dont like as much) instead of this old school trashier motorheadier type of sound
@@FF-oo8nz yes true that, back then venom and all the "dark sounding bands" who played speed/thrash with dark lyrics got called black metal. Later on some scandinavian edgelords took the term cause they coudn't find something on their own (the modern black metal you mentioned) lmao.

This album came out in 1982, predating and inspiring the first true black metal groups. Black metal supposedly takes it's name from this album it was such a huge influence

The comments here are hilarious. If you can't hear in the first 10 seconds that this is not metal from 1982 then you are very new to metal. It's a great album though. I love new Venom sound.
I wish I could see Venom live. But every time they supposedly come to Vancouver Canada they cancel. Hopefully one day we'll be lucky to see them. PISS ME OFF. Its almost as though I wished the band never existed.
