Tom Hardy was a great casting choice, the huge downfall was the bad writing and PG13 rating. If they weren't afraid on choosing the R-rated Deadpool route, Venom would shined....
Venom vs Spiderman could have made 2 billion😩. What a waste. If they couldn't use Holland, go with Garfield, McGuire, or even recast a new Peter Parker variant played by another actor, like Josh Hutcherson.
If ima take a guess, since it’s pretty clear the venomsymbiotes gonna appear in the MCU’s Spider-Man 4, they’re probably gonna include an MCU version of Eddie Brock or at least a character inspired by him to be the symbiotes host.
What a waste of a character, they could of made him darker, scarier, intimidating Goliath that we all loved in the comics but no we have to have children like these characters too 🙄
This trilogy was the biggest disappointment from SONY. Tell me 15 years ago that wed get a venom movie trilogy and id be frouthing at the mouth. After experiencing them firsthand i wish they never existed. What a waste of everyones time and money.
Spider-Man versus Venom is my only dissapointment with the trilogy. Three movies in a row no interaction between Venom and Spider-Man, such a wasted potential. It would have been a billion dollar movie in my opinion just like Far From Home and No Way Home.
The problem is (which should be clear to anyone with basic comic knowledge) Venom is known because of SpiderMan. As much as some Venom fans truly love Venom and want a solo story/film that focuses on Venom, the majority could care less. The majority want a SpiderMan movie featuring Venom as a Villain or a Venom movie featuring SpiderMan in a team up to take down a more powerful more sinister enemy
Totally agree with what IGN is saying in that regard. In Venom: let there be Carnage, they completely 100% teased the idea of Venom possibly meeting Spider-Man. And they never followed up with it. But given how the last movie ends and where Eddie actually ends up, maybe hopefully that might come to fruition one day
This is my fundamental issue with these villain focused. We Want To See These Villains Fight Spider-Man! We don’t want to see them going on these stupid goofy adventures.
There's been a ton of Venom-focused comic books. A Venom-centric movie isn't the issue. The issue is that unlike the movies, the comics do feature Spider-Man in one way or another.
I feel like Sony should have had Marvel studios be involved at least co produce these projects, now there pretty much pressuring marvel to rush the symbiote arc by having null as the villain in Spider-Man, when he hardly had any screen time or development in the last dance like that’s not how you develop a thanos-level threat.
A spiderman fight isn't its only potential. Spiderman, secret invasion, and lore of the Knull are essential for Venom's origin and lore. It was poor to completely cut out Spiderman altogether, but they also didn't have to give Spiderman a big role either in a Venom focused movie.
At least they didn’t retroactively take away that scene of Venom leaving a piece of himself behind at the end of No Way Home, and that what we saw in this movie was completely different. Meaning 🤞🤞 we might actually get to see Tom Holland in the iconic Black Suit.
If they really cared about money, They would do whats clearly billion dollar ideas, its an Ego related thing, and greed, its not just about making money, but making the most % wise in any business partnership.
“Actually good MCU” MCU boys hated Shang Chi, Eternals, She Hulk, Marvels, Thor Love and Thunder, Echo, and even tried to take swings at Deadpool 3 for using Wolverine nostalgia bait. Be real; most MCU fans just want to go back to 2019 and relive Endgame.
They should of did a venom then a vs. Spider-Man and then capped it off for the trilogy with maximum carnage. They jacked this up. It was a simple formula.
The moment you bring in Knull, you erase Spider-Man. Venom was created because of Spider-Man. Knull made that story/ connection, unnecessary. Cates and Stegman are to blame, or celebrate for that. Bottom line: there is no point in Spidey vs Venom because their origin history has essentially been erased.
Let’s be honest, all the Sony Spider-Man related movies after the first two have been bad to terrible apart from Spiderverse 1+2. They should just have let marvel chart that space, and use the villains when they would be properly served.
It’s because Spider-Man is part of Marvel, which is owned by Disney. So Sony wanted to make their own superhero without Disney. Of course, Sony failed miserably because they don’t know how to write decent movies. Venom the character was fine. The movie writing and stories sucked. And I’m pretty sure this third one is going to suck too.
I remember hearing a pitch for the MCU Spider-Man sequel trilogy that had the Venom bit that got left behind in the MCU (in No Way Home) go on to bond to Peter (creating the iconic black suit) and would then bond to Mac Gargan (who was shown in Spider-Man Homecoming) and create a more deadly, pure evil version of Venom.
why do you think Holland's spider-man and Hardy's Venom should be in same movie? ıt doesn't make sense only way to go Garfield's spider-man vs Hardy's venom also Sony introduces spider-man villains one by one and only thing to do now adding spider-man against them. Venom trilogy done, Morbius solo movie is done, Kraven movie is coming this year. Same way mcu used other spider-man characters Sony can used them with a deal with marve. Both universes should continue seperately so mcu can cast its venom because age difference between holland and hardy is too much.
It's time for Marvel to grow some balls and make more serious, dark, violent films. Enough of this childishness, conveyor belts, useless characters in the form of series about the witch, Mervel and other nicknames no-name characters. Just film the Ultimate Universe as it is in the comics.
I can't wait to see the new Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man cartoon considering they can do whatever they want with the animated rights, which means we will actually get to see Venom as well. At least we will get an idea of how Tom Holland's Spider-Man could've really been if Sony wasn't holding back Marvel Studios all the time...and if they got actual good writers.
I see them using venom in secret wars in the mcu that’s were he actually shows up in the comics. So we got a long ways to go till then I like Tom hardy as venom he does a much better job then the guy from that 70s show.
@@xEnigmatik360Mvz i didn't watch the trailers because nowadays they usually spoil everything, and i doubt they woulda just had the spoiler in the title like this.
All that legal rights to this and that from both sides ( sony and marvel) keep from great movies being created that we all wish we had been giving to us.😢
The best on screen versions of Venom we have ever had are the ones from Spectacular Spider-Man and the video game Spider-Man 2. How freaking hard is it to make Venom that formidable?!
@@thedarkknight2221 Venom stops being formidable the moment you introduce other Symbiotes. For him to be a threat, he can be the only one. That means no Carnage, no Toxin, no Scorn, and no Life Foundation Symbiotes
