All of these movies are like fake movies you'd see in Tropic Thunder. So many movies now I'll see the trailer for and it's like Hollywood is mocking us with them.
I mock H-wood with this crap! there's no movie in this crap! there is no point to Venom without a hero! and villains fighting worse villains?? it's so stupid!
They had three movies and never ever got the concept of Venom from the comics down. It's uncanny, really. Venom is not supposed to be the creature with Eddie being the other part. Venom is the fusion of the black symbiote and Eddie. You see in the comics Eddie is not a good guy, he's a real piece of crap. So when the black alien goo merge with Eddie, the fusion of these two dangerous creatures creates the being known as Venom. So when the symbiote does things, Eddie is in complete control. There's no debates of the symbiote wanting to do something and Eddie not wanting to do it. Also Eddie is not a victim having to go along for the ride. When you see that huge smile with teeth, it's based on Eddie's sadistic personality.
Yeah , white knighting the character and do not let other creators have a there own interpretation of the character and if they show there interpretation just say "you don't understand it " or "the character is never supposed to be like this" the usual toxic fan who doesn't let anyone else have there own interpretation and Gaslight other . Very well
@@alexandresobreiramartins9461 I mean I get it. Sony had all the Spider-Man characters so they wanted to spin them off and to do so they had to make them all heroes. But they could have done a better job at getting there.
That's not Venom. Venom doesn't exist without Peter Parker. Venom was never an anti-hero and he only teamed up with Spider-Man to take down Carnage. AND not because he's a hero but because Carnage was a threat. Spider-Man 3, as bad as it was, did Venom more justice than this series.
Facts. Also Venom is not the alien with Eddie being the other part. Venom is the fusion of Eddie and the symbiote. If Venom look scary, it's based on Eddie's personality cause he is trully bad in the comics.
Except venoms been an antihero for about 25 years, kiddo. You don't read comics. I'm a little bit tired of people that do not know any of the lower and backstory in history about characters making comments like yours. You clearly know venom from the early to mid-90s, which is fine but there is literally 30 more years of backstory in history and stories that you're acting like don't exist.
@johnnyskinwalker4095 Seriously, don't ya love when people pull a "gotcha" on you, but what they fail to mention is that thing they're "right" about also comes with the quality and intrigue of the character beginning to be poorer quality and far less interesting than they were.
Later today, I am going to see my dad that could be the last time. He has dementia and he's really far into it. The sad thing is we are taking our last family photo together and this is like a goodbye to a family. I might see this tomorrow if I need escapism.
go back and watch the first spider-man....actually have some kind of story there [Raimi's spidey I mean] this is garbage that deserves to flop! sorry for what you're suffering, it's hard to stare down the loss of loved one and know the end is coming....you deserve some enjoyment not to suffer a bad movie on top of the rest lol
It felt like they were using clichés from the early 2000s. I was watching the dance number and the sing along scene like ‘wtf is happening’. I also felt like the doctors in the lab were getting character development that didn’t matter at all. When venom defied eddy to do the dance scene I heard the war machine line in my head ‘so, he’s an idiot.’ The knull scenes were cool and all but it just felt like he wasn’t a real antagonist. Also the military guy with the most generic action man name who just can’t get over that eddy killed one of the several soldiers he lost was so stupid. Also, that off-road car thing with the mini gun on top made me flash back to the monster hunter movie which isn’t a good thing. The military was entirely useless through the entire movie. Also I didn’t like that eddy has no qualms about literally biting the heads off other human beings. The soldiers being deployed via hanging under an osprey is some of the most science fiction dumb shit I’ve ever seen. 3/10 I’m gonna forget it by next week
I hated how they explained Toxin Abandoned Mulligan so they injected him with another Symbiote and then instantly kill him. Why would they do that? Also the mid and end credits didnt make sense. IS this the last movie or not?
Out of sheer boredom, i watched Morbius and Madame Web, back to back. To my own disbelief, I liked Morbius. I believe it's better than its reputation. I had to force my way through MW. It felt like a hard earned accomplishment when I got through it. Next year, I'll try to sit through all three Venom's in a row. I've already seen the first two and did not care for them.
I watched the first one thinking it cant be that bad, it was. I watched the trailer for Venom 2 and said "not for me". I'm not wasting my time with The Last Dance. I may be to critical of these movies and should just view them as entertainment IDK.
The ‘Venomverse’ is seperate from mcu, so how did Chiwetels character know about Thanos & snapping his fingers? …havent seen this yet, am i misunderstanding how u guys are describing it?..
I'm getting a better picture of how Hollywood works. Tom Hardy got Venom 3 made as a way for his friend Kelly Marcel to get a foot in the door and get her first director's gig. Doesn't matter if it was any good, she gets a leg up in her career and can move up from this. That's all that really matters, not the fans of the IP. Just get more untalented people opportunities to advance and create more drivel.
You mean like Adam Sandler and his friends filming movies in vacation areas so he could give his friends a place to hangout when they finished filming?
I liked it. It was dumb fun and the ending was bittersweet and kind of melancholy. I thought the first half was great they lose me a bit before the end. But then the ending just goes full crazy comic book shit and it repsects your time. It was the perfect length for a movie like that. I give it a 6.5 out of 10.
Same! I thought it was dumb fun and enjoyed it more than the second one. With Venom, I don't expect a perfect film, just a fun action film that doesn't take its self seriously.
Tom Hardy needs a great role in order for him to shine because he doesn't do particularly well when working with weak material or a middling director. Not everybody can be as lucky as Robert Deniro when he was working with Scorcese
This is a great silly film that doesn't take itself seriously. The Venom film's never have. Going to Vegas got a huge laugh out of me, because of all the CCTV. The hippie family was a bit pointless, though. Overall, I had fun and enjoyed it for what it is.
I would have liked to see these be Rated R or something a bit below that but Sony had other plans. I liked it much more than the second one which isnt saying much. Least AMC gave us a venom usb venom cable organizer lol
Are we really having fun?! Or do we only tell ourselves that as somewhat of an excuse for even watching a third entry in this garbage franchise. Only to make us feel better and justified going to the movies. "It was dumb fun." It was probably just dumb. 🙈😜
I been sick of these non Spider Man related Sony movies since they been known to gaslit ppl for cashgrabs with teaser trailers and cameos despite owning the rights to the Spider Man character
Thanks for the review. As bad as it is, it CANNOT be as bad as the new Florence Pugh/Andrew Garfield movie. "We Live in Time" is bad on so many levels that it's just broken. Sadly, the story is focuses toward a certain type of person that will have no idea that it IS broken. And if I see another movie that tells women that it's OK to wait past the age of 34 to start having children, I'll puke. If a young lady is reading this, then plz, please read this and absorb it: If you want children, DO NOT wait till you are 33 or 34 to start trying. It will lead to deep levels of regret I promise. It really sucks (trust me) but its unfortunately true.
The movie wasn't good, let alone "okay-ish", but it was FAR better than Madame Web. I could NOT sit through that cringe atrocious abomination of a movie.
@FilmThreat I was not impressed with this film. Knull was a waste of a character. All because Marvel wanted to save him for later. There are too many side characters that were annoying and not enjoyable. It was so stupid.
I've been wondering, is Avi Arad producing those? Cause it would explain so much of how out of date piece of shit, non-canon respecting movies they are.
Saw the first one at 16, second at 19 and third I’m gonna be 22. These movies are so stupid but I love them. And am probably gonna cry like a baby when he most likely dies.😂
i hate these movies....again this one makes an excuse to not be venom in the movie it's just another eddy movie not a venom movie....i like tom hardy but i wanted venom not just tom hardy being eddy.
Never like this from the start! They got eddie brock character wrong. Eddie was a reformed jock/bully who eventually had a good guy/anti hero arc through Spiderman/Peter parker. They made eddie into useless washed up reporter but didnt show any context to get there. The comic relief and growing pains of their relationship is the ONLY GOOD PART. They ruined the Carnage Storyline completely and NOW they wanna jump MILES AHEAD all the way to Knull, who im sure they fucked up even without seeing it! the KNULL story line should take no less than 3 movies to tell it correctly!
The movie was good, I find the Venom movies to be consistently fun and entertaining. Yeah, they’re not the absolute best of the year or anything (and I still say the best option for part three would be bringing in a Spider-Man) but they’re still fun movies that I can rewatch in the future.
I won’t even pirate this garbage. You know you don’t have to review everything just because you’re a reviewer. You could stand up to movies that look bad in trailers and refuse to review them… You’re kind of contributing to the problem unless you watch them for free Tom Hardy hasn’t had one good role since Inception. I regret wanting to see him in more movies 12 years ago
