Mark, That thing clinging to the stone that you zoomed in on is a Herald Moth. An overwintering hibernating species that resides in caves, tunnels...and well...places you like poking aboot in like.
Those spiders scared the scary voice out of you! when you first came out you giggled and had lost your stage face! it made me laugh so hard! do more! :0)
I suspect that the Bruce''s spider that inspired him to keep trying was a different species of spider ? We have wolf spiders in Canada that live in boat houses and under docks that are big . When I was a kid at my parents cottage boat house I use to kill them with a broom then sweep them into the water and the fish would eat them . We also have black widow spiders in Canada. If you clean with vinegar water it will keep spiders away . We also have poisonous rattle snakes , when walking in cottage country it is wise to wear rubber boots . Love your work , thank you for sharing .
😂the suspense had me moving in to my screen.I'm laughing thank you,, ,amazing stone work, wow, another beautiful place.it does look like eggs ,interesting story...😂 check under your toilet seat.😂killer sheep..... Haha,Gods creation is magnificent.thanks Mark that was realy cool .
Brilliant! I’ll take a wee walk up there some time, it looks so interesting, the building and views are so thrilling. Could you maybe do something about galashiels policies and the history of that land and the original plans of new gala house that is now demolished? I love it there but to hear what you may be able to find on that area would be amazing! Thanks for another fun video. Loved the moth part.
You need to be unlucky to react badly to a false widow bite. It's because they are hyper-aggressive that bites are common and if you are going to take a reaction to a bite it's going to be BAD (but most will be okay)!!! I got bit by one up a loft and hee haw happened but I have a friend down in England who got bit by one and ended up in hospital with blood poisoning. Obviously best avoided to be safe. However.... If I was the size of a false widow spider and one of us came staring right at me I'd sink my teeth in as well, haha. Feisty little critters oozing with attitude. Love them.
Know it's nothing to do with this but how do you pronounce YETHOLM? Researching my mum's side of family the Young's from the Borders...thank you 👍👍ps. I'm not foreign, just fae Perthshire LOL
