Is venaseal safe long term? What happens if the glue stops holding does the blood take it through the deep system?? I want to take care of this vein in my leg but I'm worried about procedures and having complications. I was thinking about getting it. Until I heard a lady died right after procedure from clot pulmonary embolism

All the studies have shown it doesn’t break down over time. It is a medical grade adhesive, we’ve been using it forever. Blood clots are a risk with any vein procedure unfortunately, but the risk is much lower with Venaseal compared to other procedures. The lady you are speaking of may have developed a clot that wasn’t related to the Venaseal. If she was immobile for a period of time, that increases your risk for clots. The physician I work with calls vein stripping “barbaric”. the way we do it now is so much better and more effective. There are some complications, but much lower risk than stripping. Hope it goes well for you!

If every incompetent vein has been identified, then every vein needs appropriate procedure to close them off. One important thing is to also have any incompetent perforators identified and also treated. Many vase specialists fail to do this because most are incapable of working on these perforator veins. I have had mine treated in 2018 at the Whiteley Clinic in London and haven’t looked back since.
