Here is a short video that will show you how easy it is to set up a #videowall with a machine cluster in Ventuz. If you have more questions, please leave a comment for us.
The new software generation of Ventuz offers an easy to use and highly stable setup assistant for multi-screen installations. It helps the user to spread #Ventuz content not only over multiple screens, but also over a machine cluster, providing for almost limitless scalability of video wall applications. Naturally, all outputs can be fully genlocked, frame synced and even swap-synced/framelocked.

hey, hello i have one computer, with 3 graphic cards (w600 amd firepro) plugged into it each card has 6 mini display output my question is, can i use vertuz to setup a 4x4 video wall?
@VentuzTechnology
@VentuzTechnology 8 лет назад
+Hafiz Mokhtar Sorry for the late reply. Ventuz does not support more than one graphic card per computer. You would have to use several machines and set them up in a cluster. Here is how you do that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tK8vmmLF1VI.html

Ok, it could be silly but, could I use many laptop screen monitors, that have the same resolution and connect them together and then connect them with a laptop and then use them all as one continuous screen? could I do that?
@VentuzTechnology
@VentuzTechnology 5 лет назад
Here's what you could do: you could set up all you laptops in a cluster (given that they have the necessary hardware for syncing) and have one laptop run as your master and all the others run as Ventuz Runtime machines. Then you could control them all from the master laptop. To learn more about how to set up clusters in Ventuz, look here: www.ventuz.com/support/help/latest/HowTo/HowToClusterRendering.html?itm=293

Thanks for the video. Using the right video converters, would I be able to make a wall of CRTs using different size screens? I want to make a video wall like something out of a 90s villain lair that's made of various CRT TVs, and I want more than just "15 SD videos sources (VCRs, segas, atari's, ect) on 15 different CRTs arranged in a wall configuration."
@VentuzTechnology
@VentuzTechnology 7 лет назад
Hi there. Interesting idea! Do the video streams have to be live? Meaning: Does the VCR signal have to come from an actual VCR and the Atari from an Atari? Or do you want them to be pre-recorded video signals? In the first case, you might just want to attach each screen to its individual source - loads of cables, but seems to be the easiest. For the second version you can use Ventuz as a media server. The setup of the pixelspace might be a little intricate, but it should be possible. For more detailed comments, please post your inquiry on the Ventuz forum at forum.ventuz.com.
@catholiccontriversy

Thank-you. I would want to do live, but if I had to do pre-recorded just to get the effect I'll go with it. As I get closer to getting the set-up I'll post to the forum.

Ventuz, What kind of PCI or PCI Express cards are you using in the racmount pc's? Would love to do a setup like this for my new office, Would this software also support actual gameplay?
@VentuzTechnology
@VentuzTechnology 7 лет назад
Hi Fab Social. Here are the official PCI specs for our Vbox basic/advanced/ultra: 1x PCI-E 3.0 x16 (1x preinstalled with GPU) 1x PCI-E 3.0 x4 (in x8, covered by Dual Slot GPUs) 2x PCI-E 3.0 x8 1x PCI-E 2.0 x4 (in x8) 1x PCI-E 2.0 x2 (in x8) As to gaming - you could live stream the output from the gaming machine into the Ventuz server. For more details, you are welcome to ask the community in the forum at forum.ventuz.com and watch our other tutorials here on RU-vid. Or send us your question to support@ventuz.com.

So why not use 1 big screen or a projector?
@theskeletonboi
@theskeletonboi 9 лет назад
Arnolds Liepins Well... having multiple monitors allows for flexibility, each monitor can be used individually, and together by choice. I have seen this used many times in public, a movie theater near me, has many TV monitors set up an array, to serve as a menu for the products being sold, after a couple of seconds all the screens turn into a single very-wide monitor spanning some sort of personalized action clip advertising the movie theater name.

Hi Will. Our software might be a little too much for you. You can start with buying a professional graphics card with six outputs, like an AMD FirePro W9100. The AMD Eyefinity technology will help you to set up your six screens without any additional software needed at full resolution.

@VentuzTechnology
@VentuzTechnology 7 лет назад
Hi Fernando. Please note that Ventuz is a complete real-time content creation and playout suite. Multi-screen setup is only one of the features that helps event specialists to bring their content on large video walls. Can you find the video or article you are referring to and post the link here? It would be interesting to know whether they are spreading one HD over 12 screens or actually running the wall at 12 times HD from one video card.
@jiveturkeymags
@jiveturkeymags 7 лет назад
14 screens for one desktop across all screens. They have a 4k one too that goes for 50 bucks. I am going to be using these for a client in the next few weeks for a touchscreen video wall.
@jiveturkeymags
@jiveturkeymags 7 лет назад
I see the value of your software, but for just putting together a permanent video wall, it's overkill. Most people just wanna play powerpoints and videos on them.
@VentuzTechnology
@VentuzTechnology 7 лет назад
Hi Fernando, absolutely agreed. There are simpler and cheaper solutions for simple video walls than Ventuz. If you want to go more sophisticated though, regarding real-time content, design and data driven graphics, Ventuz offers the full package including the video wall setup. Thanks for your input.

Only if you are considering using the video wall in your home or at a pinch a large room. Consider the situation where you wish to display images in a stadium where the audience are at a distance of perhaps several hundreds meters from the screen or when you are in a very large concert hall again the audience could be many meters from the screen, a 65" screen would be lost in that environment.

Hi Thomas, we are sorry that this video is confusing. Ventuz of course does not replace Nvidia graphics cards, Ventuz is just a software. We are not using Nvidia in this video, but AMD graphics cards, but you can use Nvidia if you prefer. There are of course other software tools with which to create multiscreen setups. This is just one functionality of our real-time graphics software Ventuz that we wanted to explain in this video.
