La Grand Scena Opera di New York is the best! Thanks for posting. (...and the names!) I remember going to an after-concert party at Studio 54, where they literally hung from the ceiling belting out "Ride of the Valkures." Unforgettable!
My friend Dan G. was part of LGSOC back in the day. When we were in college, he gave a fabulous drag diva concert with my pianist that left us clamoring for encore after encore (which she humbly gave!). Crawling onto the stage from the wings for "Sola, perduta, abbandonata" was epic! I must find out if a video exists!

Vera (aka Ira Siff) is still a commentator on the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network. I don't know if he's still a vocal coach. He's 77.
