Stress makes your reading (and re-reading) slow and inefficient. As many trainers say, I agree that the best way is to look at the questions first, define the key words, search for these words by quick scrolling the text and then read and re-read the sentence to understand it properly. It saves time, energy and ensures that you pay attention only to the crucial piece of text.
This wasn't very helpful to me, with all due respect. It would be nice to have some examples where the question could be e.g. either True or Cannot say. This is because it is easy to differentiate between True and False, however not so much Cannot Say. This was a very general description. Although this may benefit some, it may not be necessarily useful to those who know where they are going wrong, but not WHY they are going wrong. Thank You
Reading the passage backwards in these types of tests has helped me massively, contributing towards me being able to achieve 80% pass rate in majority of the verbal reasoning tests I have taken. Thanks for the tips !
I don't think there will be enough time to read and re-read the passage, and then read the sentences backward, before answering the questions? Multiple other sources claim reading the question first is of great advantage...
thank you for sharing. I'm having a CRT test on Monday, both verbal and numerical. I'll keep those tips in mind. I see your point, that in this kind of test we don't aim to answer ALL question. But try to answer correctly as much as the time allowed. But to be honest, to decode sentences is not something easy to do, I'm bad in this one 😂
one of my mate don it on the same day and passed the test. When he went to the assessment centre he failed it and lost the job. He paid £55 to travel to the assessment centre seriously.... you have a point but I find these test are useless
These tips really helped me - and thanks to the other posters here who mentioned keyword searches and reading the question first. That's a smart tip that helps with the time problem. awesome! #lifesavers
A box in a college bookstore contains books, and each book in the box is a history book, an English book or a science book. If one-third of these books are history books and one-sixth are English books, what fraction of the books are science books? A. 1/3 B. 1/2 C. 2/3 D. 3/4 I can't figure it out...
B. Half You need to break the fractions down so that they can be compared. In this case, one-third equals two-sixths. So add the two-sixths (history) and the one-sixth (English). This gives you three-sixths. Now, simplify this figure - three-sixths is equivalent to one-half. I hope this helps.
omg thanks u saved me i am doing a high school test today and only practice nonverbal 😬 and 3 days verbal very hard but u gave me courage i hope i pass 🤥im a bitt woried
read and reread does not work for time bounded assessments like for talent Q assessments where in you have to read and understand 350 words paragraph in 60 seconds and answer the question with in the same time frame with 15 questions and 16 minutes to complete whole assessment.....
Are verbal reasoning test design for a specific culture/nationality? In terms of comprehension of the written text? For example: There are many English speaking countries that couldn't give a shit about what year the Queen was born.
Really need help. There is a questions saying: Assume that some huys are knis, all jiks are suds, and some aws are huys. Therefore it makes sense that: A: some knis may also be aws B: all huys are knis C: all jiks are aws D: some suds are knis E: all jiks are huys
They say nothing is for free in this universe! All these sites promise free practice tests links - just to be hit with package prices, what's this all about. I will much prefer to be told that it will cost you something than being told lies!!!!
I think they are generally stupid and prove nothing of an individual's skills and are just used to weed people out. Pointless. Just not enough time under pressure to read everything AND choose an answer let alone process what you've just read.
I disagree with him... Time is very limited so you have to read the question first and not the passage the and pick the key words from the questions then you go and search for them in the passage,,,
JackRaY I've applied for jlr aprentiship I passed the first assessment but I've got a verbal resoning test which has to be completed by 5th December any tips!!
If you fail any of these tests ,you are probaly not suited to the job so just move on ,there is something for everyone. Imagine passing it and you hated the job ...Feck that. Be happy.
please do not make the video again (re and rereading the passage within this short time frame) doesn't make sense to me, I don't think so if u have ever attempted the test otherwise u wouldn't be saying this.
