If you listen closely, the five notes at the start are the sound of my lungs, heart, and testicles exploding one after the other. THIS is the side of classical music that some people seem to forget when they dismiss it.
When I have anger management problems I listen to this song. It literally sucks my fury and adds it into its epicness. When I'm done, I'm completely calm and refreshed.
This piece suits perfectly the scene of a divine judgement. Agressive, beautiful and intense, this is one of my favorite pieces of al time. True power at its most precious display.
Brings out the passion and terror I believe Verdi meant people to feel from the text of this prayer in the Requiem Mass. He is truly an exciting new conductor. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him.
19th Century Heavy Metal - first time I heard this it felt as if the sky's had cracked open and the earth was going to envelope itself. My arm hairs stand on end - crank this to 11 and let it engulf every sense!!!!!
I have heard this piece performed by several well known conductors. But none of them can hold a candle to this performance by Maestro Vandelli. This is superb!
Worst thing about "classical" concerts: for some reason you are expected to stay still, which is the last thing I want to do when listening to music like this!
secco e senza sbavature il vero Verdi.. grandissimo Vandelli..incredibilmente pare che sia la musica guidarlo e non lui a guidare la musuica.. GRANDISSIMO!

Goose bumps everywhere!!! I love this piece of music, I love Verdi!
All I can say is THANK YOU Battle Royale for introducing me to this simply wonderful music!! This rendition is so powerful... you can r4eally feel the emotion coming from them, especially the conductor!! :)
Simply fantastic. I've only recently gotten into classical music, and I'm going through a '10 Classics You Know But Don't Know' thing I found. Didn't realise how much the experience is cheapened by being incidental music on screen.
Wow....just amazing! I have the chills and i listened to it two hours ago! We're working on this piece for our Italy tour in January and this performance really set the bar
I'm 13, and I absolutely loved listening to this peice. I grew up in a classic rock family, and I guess I developed a taste for old music. Just the first minute will prove anyone wrong that classical music is boring.
My favorite part of this piece is the beginning. Its so intense, i love it!!! The syncopated percussion gives it so much strength. Verdi sure could write music!!
This is why I love classical music...It can be really pretty and peaceful, and then it can be really powerful like this song and Symphony No. 5 by Beethoven!!
No, really, this is really CLASS! Look at the Conductor at 8:00, when he conducts the choir with his left hand, and the orchestra with the right... and the drums at 18.... and the conductor at 33 and following... I never get bored of this!
I have never seen so many highly rated comments! Finally a section without haters I guess... As for the music, i just love it, I won't try to describe it further because I can't
Jour de colère, ce jour-là réduira le monde en poussière, David l’atteste, et la Sibylle. Quelle terreur à venir, quand le juge apparaîtra pour tout strictement examiner !
