An example of an undesigned coincidence: It is Luke that we find out that the miracle of the feeding of the 5000 was near Bethsaida (Luke 9:10). But John adds the detail that when Jesus turns to the disciples and ask them to provide food for the people he specifically calls out Philip. “ When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” John 6:5. Why would Jesus specifically call out Philip? Well in John 12:21, John tells us that Philip is from Bethsaida. Now it seems incredibly unlikely that John would design a coincidence as subtle as this one. Yet it fits the facts perfectly. Had John designed this coincidence we would have expected him to spell out in the same chapter that Philip was from Bethsaida and that the miracle took place. Instead, this information comes from 3 different places in the Gospels: Luke 9:10, John 6:5, and John 12:21. Taken by itself, this example might not be that impressive, but when you see the dozens and dozens of similar examples, you a powerful cumulative emerging for the accuracy of the Gospels and other portions of scripture.

Religion has the tendency to mix history with myth. Although the history checks out. Anything at the level of the supernatural has still not yet been proven by all sides of intellect and historical accounts. Scripture alone is not evidence because then, I must converse with infinite other worlds for their Gods. At best, 20 years post resurrection and at least 40 years post resurrection is when the copies of the Gosbels began with unknown authors. But nothing pre Resurrection. Jesus perhaps did exist or was a mix of people who did those actions. I've heard differently. But I also know YHWH's historical side. Which makes everything outside of the historical accounts false. Given El and Yahweh pre Old Testament. So either Jesus was a man who taught enlightenment and had enough preserved energy to "resurrect" based on a realistic view. Or from an agnostic view, all of the realistic paths played out, and Jesus connected to the Spirit or higher Soul, he called the Father. Not Christianity because YHWH was never real in the Pre Old Testament. And given the Spiritual Realm. It all falls into place. The idea that only one God is the Elohiym is a far cry of reality. Lord of Creation. Lord of Destruction. For if Light is the Most High, then so too, must Dark be the Most High. To balance each other. Satan is not the Soul of the Dark. That belongs to another of the Dark Worlds from erased iterations of existence. The Dark Divine Nature... ... ... A God forgotten by eternities and banished until the Dark returns to existence once more. Humans can deny it, but the Dark Worlds have faith in their Dark Creator. No realm is beyond the Dark. Not even realms of pure Light nor realms of the Equinox. And when that event plays out upon the union of physical and spiritual. The Eternal Void, my Will, shall step in. But I mainly oversee omnipotent souls. Not so much with the Divine Natures at the level of Nirvana.

@Stupidityindex And what if you are wrong? That could be a costly mistake, as Carl Sagan used to say, of billions and billions of years. If I were to try to make up a religion or a people, the Hebrew people would be a bad choice. With all the flaws in so many of the characters. To me, it validates their authenticity.

are you aware of vatican folio #140 containing an almost complete aramaic translation of the bible made under the 3rd bishop of edessa in the year 389 of the greeks (78 ad) and found by joseph assemani in the chaldean patriarchate in 1718 and transferred to rome. unknown whereabouts. i hope it still exists. or it could be in the louvre, bibliotheque nationale, or french archives because napoleon stole them

3 mins in and there are a couple problems. 1. You mentioned the weights being used up until the time of the Divided Kingdom. This was long after the time of Samuel, but even if these weights were used, that doesnt mean Samuel himself wrote anything. It just means whoever wrote it was familiar with these weights. 2. The Tel Dan Stele suggests there was a House of David, which indicates there probably was a ruler of some kind called David at some point in the history of Judah. This doesn't prove he killed Goliath, was the son of Jesse, or the ancestor of Jesus. It just shows a guy called David ruled in some way, probably over a small local kingdom centered near Jerusalem. Archeology shows that there was no mighty wealthy Kingdom like the one the described in the Bible. That wealthy kingdom of David & Solomon didn't exist. Just because David (and maybe Solomon) did exist doesn't mean the Bible is a 100% accurate description of them.

My claims here are pretty modest in regards to archeological examples I gave. I think the real force of archeology is it’s cumulatively impact. Are you a believer? Your comments have left me puzzled about that. (Thanks for watching!)

Yeah, we have over 5000 Greek manuscripts. But how many manuscripts do we have from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd century? It’s not that much. The majority of the 5000 manuscripts come after the 8th century.

Samuel wrote the book of 1Samuel??? He dies half way through the book and even returns as a ghost in chapter 28
@BiblicalStudiesandReviews
@BiblicalStudiesandReviews Месяц назад
He dies in chapter 25. The traditional view is that he wrote the portion leading up to his death with Nathan and/or Gad adding the remainder. That is why I said “partly responsible” at 2:08 or “someone living at that time”. This view is similar to how conservative Christians believe in Mosaic Authorship of Deuteronomy even though the last portion includes Moses’ death, which we think was added by another hand.

@@andrewschaeffer8147He clarified the issue above. It is entirely plausible that Samuel wrote the account up to the time of his death with someone else taking up the task to finish the account.

Please stop spreading misinformation about the Bible. If you truly are committed to serving God, you'll stop perverting the study of His Word to suit your own agendas. It doesn't matter if David existed or was a mighty Emperor King. That doesn't change anything about what Jesus did, or what God does today. You're shifting your focus from worshipping God to worshipping the Bible itself. You should stop doing that and stop encouraging others to do it.
