What I did was get the binax now test and cut the red strip off a dollar tree pregnancy test and placed it where the positive covid line would go and then took the picture at an angle so that it didn't look like a separate piece

I know this is late and won't help you but for others who might try it, do it without the solution, it's a buffer solution that balances pH opposite of what you want if you want a false positive :)
