I just wanted to drop a comment to let you know that I managed to LFG the raid due entirely to this guide. I was the designated dissector because your video made the whole process so intuitive and easy to follow. Thanks for all of the visual aids! Shuffling around the little pieces of paper was so so helpful

There's a hidden mechanic for the inside people that my group found. The inside people won't be able to leave if you still have an original shape that was not traded. IDK if its a bug or intended, but the leave inside room buff will not be granted if you didn't trade your original shape and use it to combine, even if it's the correct shape :( Also the Witness notices the inside people after 6 total trades

This is the only truly helpful guide I have found so far. Like someone (I think Einstein) said when someone can explain something like they are 5, that's when you know they truly understand the subject themselves.

Crazy how they made this actually represent the "final shape" . Also crazy how they broke us down with the simplest things imaginably "shapes" and made it so complex. Oh,Bungo, this is why we love you.

One fun note for reviving guardians: wearing pyrogale gauntlets, and some other armor pieces, allows everyone to see the flame effects from the arms and instantly know where your statue is. It can be great for helping carry a team through with one dependable revive.

TV cracked the code for the rest of us. I've read several different articles on this particular encounter, but this explainer video is way better and much more clear. Really glad you included tips and tricks to keep things simple, like suggesting one person swaps out the shapes and the other two protect them.

This is hands down the most coherent video explaining this rectal polyp of an encounter. I have been a little late learning this raid and i have gotten the first three encounters down pat. Absolutely no issues learning in game. Having someone explain this to me 3 times over the past three nights this week has made me feel like the worst blueberry ive ever encountered. I have not gotten past this part nor have I even remotely understood any of the pieces/roles. The fact that disecting is just making sure each outside statue has one of each shape after getting callout makes me want to cosplay as a speedbump, ive had 3 different people try to explain dissecting to me and it made zero sense. That summed it up so perfectly. Also the rooms i had some semblance of understanding of what goes on in there but i kept messing it up everytime BECAUSE NO ONE SAID I NEEDED TO BASICALLY MAKE A KEY OUT OF THE TRANSFERED SHAPES. WTH. You sir have made it that I dont have to get yelled at tonight by some rando in a fireteam tonight bc I dont understand this encounter. (I have no friends that play endgame content on this game with me, i enjoy the challenge) Thank you so much will update when I get the first completion!

Watch a few different other versions of this encounter and it made it more confusing. But this video is perfectly explained! Thank you! Because of this I finally wasn’t needed to force die just to stay outside and add clear! 🎉

Thanks for the video! I appreciate your breakdown of the outside mechanics! I have a theory about the inside players role. From my understanding the strategy demonstrated in your video causes unnecessary swaps for inside team. I believe there are only 3 possible scenarios for inside team. We know inside players start with two shapes on the wall. One shape is always the shape their statue is holding and the other is a random shape. The 3 possible scenarios are: One inside player will get a double, every inside player will have a double, or no players will have a double. By double I mean they have their own shape twice. Scenario 1: Only one player gets a double. Player(s) need to call out if they have a double and their location (left, right, or middle statue). In this scenario the other two inside players that do not have two of the same shapes pass the shape their statue is holding to the player that called out having the double shape. Double shape player passes once to the other two players. Then everyone has the shapes they need to escape on the wall. E.g. Circle/Circle calls out double and passes both circles. Square player has square/triangle and passes their square to circle player. Triangle player has triangle/square and passes their triangle to circle player. Scenario two: Every inside player gets double shapes (I have not seen this happen yet). If all players call out doubles then each player simply has to pass both of their shapes once to each of the other players. You’ll get noticed by the witness on the second bank so inside team should try to bank their second shapes at the same time. When inside team gets rescued they will have their needed shapes to escape. Scenario 3: No one calls out a double. In this scenario if no one has a double then you simply need to pass the shape your statue is holding to the player whose statue is holding the other shape that is on your wall. This is possible since you always get your own shape and we know what shape every player has we can also quickly figure out their other shape if no one has a double shape. E.g. If your statue has circle and you get Circle & Triangle on your wall and no one has a double shape then you immediately know Triangle player has square and needs your circle. This is possible because square player can’t have Square/Square (they didn’t call out a double) or Square/Triangle (because you have the triangle). Therefore Square player must have Square and Circle and triangle player must have triangle/square. This works for the other two players as well. Triangle player is going to pass their triangle to square player, and square player will pass their square to circle player. Using this method each player will always be passing their statues shape to another player and with a single callout they will know where to pass their shape(s). Only in the double shape scenario will they need to pass twice. This makes for an easy and quick escape. I have beaten the encounter with a method similar to this but I have not been able to test this exact method in game yet. If anyone has a reason this method doesn’t work please let me know! 😅

The paper drawings are the most helpful graphic I've seen so far. Kudos, keep these coming! Also, FYI, the Witness wipe of the 3 inside is triggered once 6 transfers have taken place. It is not random, even easier to plan for.

I did this on contest around 3-4am and so many team members were fried. It was tough, but I was glad we did it. Great explanation

Great job I am watching this to try and explain easier to my friends. One thing that I think is super helpful DONT USE DIFFERENT GHOSTS. Use same ghost and just change colors. People who don’t know name of ghost and waste 15 seconds trying to play Pictionary describing the ghost wipes a lot of people who don’t play together regularly. Every one knows difference between blue and orange though!

Great guide. Made very simple so that’s great! We managed to get this done but slightly different but your method is now the go to as it’s so much easier. Having 1 outside guy do the shapes is so much better!

This is a great guide, well done TV. The strategy of having the inside players first collect three copies of their shape, then sending one apiece to the other two players, is such a clever way to help cut back on the realtime shape deciphering and potential mistakes/miscommunications.

Having 1 Pyrogale Titan is really good for the revival steps, as the Pyrogale flames can still be seen by anyone, including the living fireteam members even if they cannot see the rest of the guardian on the platform. Made it easy to find 1 of our players everytime.
