These guys are my favorite enemy in the game. I never realized how terrifying it would be for a regular soldier to fight them until I saw them in this game. That and I love hearing *SOUTHLANDER*
After playing TW:Warhammer 2, I love the perspective vermintide gives on “basic units”. How a chaos warrior (mid tier infantry that comes en mass on a battlefield) can be terrifying to a normal soldier. Or how a single troll or chaos spawn (entities usually comes in groups in Warhammer 2) can be a huge threat on its own. Always wondered if a chaos warrior was already such a threat, how a Chosen warrior would look like in vermintide.
imagine a chaos warrior but hes slightly bigger, can't be staggered, and does 50% of your health as damage just by punching you in the stomach. That is typically how they're compared in the lore :)
@@darthdangermouse1453 Ribspreader is a champ. Normal chaos warriors might actually be chosen, considering how big they are I doubt they could reach that height without some blessings.
That's Warriors devouted to Nurgle for ya. Makes me curious to see CA's take on Chaos Warriors of Nurgle along with the other gods in Warhammer 3 Total War.
@@samtemdo8 Don’t get your hopes up too high, friend. Creative Assembly is very adamant about keeping the age rating low. This means that they will make sure everything is as close to “kid friendly” as possible, even unit models. To soften the blow of disappointment I suggest you prepare to receive copypasted chaos warriors with green armour. Nothing bubonic and nothing filthy but maybe a little rust, if you are lucky. They will certainly not look like Vermintide's warriors. (If this doesn’t occur and they actually do a good job it will make for a pleasant surprise, won’t it?)
@@samtemdo8 Thank you for your reply. When it comes to the chaos spawn I think they are quite tame. I have seen artwork depicting them to be much worse, sometimes with the entire skeleton of the former champion sticking out of its body. Those in Total war still depict a man, as do those in Vermintide minus a little detail. Two “legs” and two “arms” and a “face”. While Vermintide's spawn must remain the same for readability, I think CA can do better with theirs but a certain age rating prevents them from creating something truly horrifying. Maybe they don’t want to scare their audience too much. Perhaps the concept of Chaos is scary enough. If you find them suitable then more power to ya. I’m just voicing my personal opinion on CA's depiction of them, as per your request.
@@agoodboy2489 Alas all we can hope for is a Chaos gore pack that ads blood, plague, and tits to the gods factions Otherwise, we can rely on modders to grim-darkify the game for us
I miss how these guys were back in the beta before they got nerfed. When just one, single Chaos Warrior could easily kick your entire team's shit in even after tanking your career skills. Anybody else remember and miss that?
@@MsRiqueman To put things in perspective, back in that beta Huntsman Kruber could one-shot any boss with a combo of career skill + repeater. Sometimes, that'd be used on Chaos Warriors. That's just how dangerous they were.
Ballance was really weird in the Beta. I still remember how the beam staff killed hord in a matter of seconds even Monsters. While today you have trouble to kill a single slave rat.
No that sounds pretty fucking shit. I was there, I saw it, it sucked ass. It's cool the first couple times, then it's just tedious, like a boss but less engaging
In vermintide 2 Chaos warriors are way more slick and Stylish in their shredded-inbued armors, rather than bold headed and having all the same plain armor
When I started Vermintide 2 for the first time I tought these were mini bosses without health bar XD and they were hard to deal with since i was a total noob. But after 700 hours or grinding and playing only in Legendary and then CAtaclysm when it was added I must say, the Chaos Warriors are a good moving target dummy that you can practice headshotting XD RIP
@@sbraypaynt Of course I am lonely and I like it that way, I like to brag about kiling NPCs in videogames too because it takes some degree of skill and I am proud of that skill.
I remember this one time our whole squad was up on this bridge (like 10 feet off the ground) and we saw a chaos squad with a chaos warrior walking by. I said to my homie "stand back I got this" and I threw a fire grenade at the warrior. We thought he was done for and he goes "IM COMING FOR YOU DWARF" (at 3:50) and he LEAPS UP THE FUCKING FLOOR onto the bridge. we nearly shit ourselves ;-;

I love how they've portrayed the Chaos Warriors in this game with their deep bassy voices and arrogant attitudes. Whenever I hear them talking shit I also love to comment "tough talk for a can of expired mushrooms" whenever I kick their ass.
