Glad it exists, but it needs better balancing. Gunner should have much more HP, blightstormers should exist but with much longer CDs than campaign, life leeches would be nice and skill expressive, but with a longer CD on their teleport so they can't just TP in, TP out. Assassin should do more shred dmg based on distance travelled to land on a hero, which would incentivize sniping and would also allow players to have a second or two to react to a sniping assassin by shooting him out of the air creating great gameplay moments and rewarding skill, and hookrat... he should just be a little faster in all his actions, honestly. Also, give players bosses to control, like rat ogre etc. And voila, I think it'd be pretty great.
@@temst2561 Yes that too, their CD should be a second or two longer, but Blightstormers have practically 100% uptime on their storm if they have LOS, so they'd need a massive CD nerf. :)
I'm curious if they could do melee units, especially something like a Chaos warrior or Stormvermin with a shield to give the pactsworn team something more resistant to ranged damage. I wonder if they could do something where every so often, the pactsworn team could spawn or vote to spawn together as a group of savages/plague monks.
It's cool, there's a lot of work to be done tho, it's omega unbalanced right now towards the heroes. Pressing W it's too OP and the rats cannot do anything to punish them for continuously doing so
@@withgoodtaste did they really cut off bosses out of pool. Are they really that dumb to cut one of best part of Left 4 Dead? Even in Killing Floor 2 PVP you can play patriarch...
Would be perfect if the Skaven had some control over AI. Like spawning hordes or elites in place of special abilities. Rattling gunners are rally only useful if the heroes are busy with something else, so having an option to make them busy would be great.
Wish Verses was like a Twitch thing where people in the chat and have the game can queue up to join in and play as Elites, Specials and even Monsters, would be so cool. Like also more than 4 players too, 4 v 4 is too small, 4 v 8 or even more would be so cool
That sounds horrible, 50 people joining a minute lol considering how fast you die Then if someone has a slow connection/PC you make the whole thing op or boring af
Finally! The mode, which ideally should have appeared at the exit of the game, and which was promised in the first part, appeared in the second later... how long?
I dont think its possible to play as elite, I haven't played L4D pvp but i think you could only pick special zombies not elites@@huntermorningstaraensland3311
Should add in some more rat types too, jezzels beg for this level of verticality, one shot with ok damage and a long reload, the rat ogre or even monstrosity, hell even a storm vermin packleader since this seemed like they were never even pressured with trash mobs. The flamer, gas and assassin seem to be the only real dangers the rest are dead in a hard sneeze, still interesting.
yeah, sure would be fun to be a melee only character with no gapcloser so you die 100% of the time before you can even swing your weapon. or better yet, getting one shot headshotted from 90% of the meta weapons!!!
Maybe for mere mortals. But for those who wish to enter the crucible of skavendom and come out the otherside, they'd be like a new breed of vermintide player@@conorstabler6093
@@conorstabler6093 Nah, people clear cata + deeds all the time, so I dont really see why it would be impossible at cataclysm difficulty. Arguably they should bump up the ingame difficulty from recruit to champion/legend to make the specials actually threatening. The way it is now, healing is so incredibly abundant and damage so little people can genuinely go full speedrun-team and just slam through missions before the specials can even do much.
Want to enjoy the but pugging it is so fucking painful. Hoping some friends get in soon because the Skaven side really needs good coordination to succeed. Also I do have some concerns about the balance when it comes to gear are skaven going to be able to progress to keep up with gear improvements on players or will they not have gear at all and if so will there be any rewards for playing.
@@jeremytan739 just double-triple the CD of the storm and he should be fine, bigger issue why shark didnt include them is probably the incredibly difficult to balance/upkeep teleporting abilities, their maps are notorious for being badly designed on a geometry metric so in testing they prob kept teleporting out of the map when TPs are manual and that's easily abusable
You are playing the gunner incorrectly. you are playing him reactively whereas you should be playing him proactively. he is slow, you do not have the time to chase enemies with him. Better to set up at a horrible choke for them.
Wow only 5 years late Fat Shark I purchased this game based on Versus mode comments from the devs. Its 2024. Why cant you pick the stomer guy or the witcher doctor bloke?
i really wanna be positive but i don't think this is gonna go anywhere xd, this isn't what the game needed, this mode is gonna need a ton of careful balance for people to actually enjoy and i don't think fatshark is capable or willing to invest the time into it, so most likely it will basically be dead on arrival.
I can understand being skeptical about their execution, but I have no doubt fathsark will do their utmost to make a fun experience with it. The base gameplay so far has been very fun, and as a proof of concept is phenomenal. It obviously requires a lot of balancing but they have many ways to do this.
i hope it turns out alright, the playerbase of this game has been dwindling and i would like to see it go up again, it was my go to game to play on a weekend or when i had free time.@@thebenvz.
Darktide is sorely in need of big content dumps, but they would rather dedicate a team to make a versus mode for a game that is half a decade old and gets around 2k average players, whilst their brand new game came out unfinished and has dropped to around 3.5k player average. The decision making at Fatshark is baffling.
@@mememachine6763 there are two different dev teams, bozo. I agree with your sentiment though. As sad as it sounds, they should move people to darktide where they will be earning the majority of their revenue for the foreseeable future. This game's lifecycle is reaching its end and doesn't require content updates or dlc as badly as darktide does, with only 2 missions being added in over a year of being "live service"
