Here are 2 Full seperate rounds of Ratling Gunner gameplay, Enjoy!
You notice that the damage is a little bit low (1 damage lol), but hey, it is an Alpha, so of course balance is not the priority and will be subject to change for full release.
Nevertheless, playing Ratling gunner is extremely fun!
Also my team in the second game was Goated

Typically Skaven parties get viped constantly! Just increasing the difficulty to veteran, limiting the number of heals, and balancing stuff like like lingering flames, can swing things way better in favor of skaven. This was a one-off show of highly skilled players as skavens!

Thnx a lot! And yes I agree with all those things 100% In Game Two Sienna was using lingering flames (which is bugged and she can burn you when not spawned/alive), but even so, our skaven squad was victorious! But about 90% of my total games played as skaven in the alpha where defeats (other alpha players can relate) But its only an alpha so it will change in the future

It felt that the main problem for the skaven players was just how frequent heals were for hero characters. So unless the skaven team was very efficient and well coordinated, most of the times the heros just managed to revive and heal up by the time skaven respawn after their attack. And besides that lots of problems with bugs, mechanics being iffy in cases and certain skaven being... underpowered or not working properly... Like the packmaster.

Thnx for the comment. The devs said that they are going to reduce the healing for the ubersreik5 in the next version. So thats good :)

@@chickenhunt5163 To be honest I'm more worried about things that can't be changed by tweaking the difficulty. Like the respawn mechanic of the skaven. Or packmasters being interruptible and being able to hoist heroes in inaccessible areas. Or gutter runners' smoke bombs not being invul switches. Or warpfire throwers being useless. Hah

In this alpha you could play as the rat specials only, so the: ratling, assasin, warpfire, hookrat and globadier. There is no news yet about playing as elites or bosses to my knowledge (I hope we could) I dont know when it will be released. My hope is this year but again, I dont know

The devs mentioned playable bosses in their steam post about the alpha tests. No news on full release yet, but more tests are happening in the future.

Whats the optimal difficulty to play this on?

In the alpha the difficulty was recruit. I think it should be more like veteran and some abilities need to be tweaked (waystalker ult, sienna lingering flame etc). I do agree with the developers premise that most of the real difficulty should be coming from the other players. I think some obvious buffs, stagger resistance, more hp and damage. But also a talent system for the skaven would be awesome.
