What the H? Gorgeous town ruined by crumbling cement and faded paint on the buildings and homes. I've read other tourist comments about Cinque Terre complaining about it too. Why don't they DO SOMETHING, this area is world famous and gives a terrible impression and let down to those visiting. That and graffiti is what ruins areas of Italy, why doesn't the people and government crack down on the graffitist!!!
And the hanging clothes, cant they buy dryers? Together with the above these buildings look abandoned or inhabited by poor people. I wouldn't waste my money visiting this place, REALLY disappointed.

@@spaniardsrmoors6817 Your observation is correct but it's a matter of choice. I have seen a lot of videos on Italian towns and they are kept very well. A lot of them are well painted and are very beautiful. Vernazza looks like a poor town and you can't generalize. From this video inside the town looks ok, though. It seem the buildings around the beach area are not taken care of.. A lot of people visit Italy because it's very picturesque and has a lot of scenic places. Now you have a lot of walking tours videos, and you can see these towns and it's your choice to make.
@@07gaucha I'm saying this hoping someone reads it and they will change that culture. Italy is the most beautiful country or in top 10 and Cinque Terra is a Unesco WH site, it should not be in this condition. Tourist visiting only this area and expecting a world class city will return wondering if this is the best Italy has to offer in the rich North what must the rest of Italy be like? Watch his video of Scilla (Calabria) BEAUTIFUL, and this is supposed to be the poorest Provence in Italy yet looks 10-20X better than Cinque Terra in the rich North Italy that gets 10-20X the number of tourist. I'm criticizing this city and any cities like it not all Italy and would gladly visit places like Scilla. Just watched his Maranolla (Cinque Terra) video, BEAUTIFUL, but Vernazza is terrible
