AI 100 percent heart. The way he lived( didn't see him, but heard and read from other players, wild stories, about Iverson. Like he partied wild all night. And the other day , drop like 25 points , man that is insane as hell) + Pluss with that frame, and Allen I is a hall of famer. Dude, truly he is a bigger freak then Giannis. People don't understand how awesome player AI was.
AI was my favorite player growing up, he gave maximum effort when he played. In a way it saddens me to hear how he didn’t try to improve and how his ego controlled him. He only used his talent but if he had coupled that with hard work and discipline as well who knows what he could’ve been

It is easy for you and me to ✍️ write he had big ego. But remember how you would be in your early 20' s. Iverson probably hang out with dangerous people, also read that from other NBA players. Don't get me understood, I don't judge him at all. It is his live,and AI should leave it, as his big hearts want to. But in the back of my head, I hope he settled down
@@ilijakolarovski2813 yeah for sure, he came from nothing and for a good while was the biggest thing in the nba, everyone telling you you’re amazing etc that along with the generational wealth has got to have an effect on you. Despite his flaws, I’ll always be a fan. To this day I rock Reebok questions and answers from time to time

Yep, 2000-2001 season where the Sixers made the Finals. Sixers got rid of Vernon Maxwell later during the season and then he signed with the Mavericks.

I was so mad when we got rid of Vernon for no reason. As much good as Larry Brown may have did, he also held us back because he was so stuck in his ways. And AI the type who would have needed a big man to play that role, somebody like Charles Oakley because he was too fearless to listen, but did respect veteran bigs.

I’m a Pistons fan and when we hired him I was like dang this not going to work. I think Brown experience in Philly helped him in Detroit. He would still push buttons then he would back off.
When Mad Max ran hot on the court, boy was it fun to watch. Still remember a game where he single handedly beat the Spurs. He had all the talent in the world and I would argue Mad Max was MJ's least favorite player to play against and the only one I ever saw make MJ lose his cool. Of course Mad Max lost his cool so much it became his liability. Cant wait to watch more of this interview. Dude looks good for almost 60.
Iverson really has to be one off the most respected players ever. Players from the past and present adore him. I don't think you can win with him as the number 1 option but as a cultural icon he's up there with the best players off all time.
When Vernon played with the Spurs in the 80's. I remember Larry brown putting him in with David Wingate. Awesome defense. The would shutdown the others team's backcourt. A sight to see. Vern Vern Vern Vern Vern.
No, see, Larry wanted AI out of the clubs and Vernon was going to the clubs with him. So in Larry's eyes, Vernon wasn't "keeping him in line." AI went off and dropped 30 a night to spite Larry bc he was sick of him trying to control him

Mad Max is a real character, but he says things about his play like we can't check his stats. Averaging 5 points 1.2 boards and 1.6 assists shooting 33.6% in 15 minutes per game with the 76ers is downright awful my guy!

I don't get what you trying to say. Max is in several podcasts saying he rather guard Jordan than Drazen. Max said he was the hardest to guard all-time.

Allen clearly wanted to play several more years, that's why he bounced around between Denver, Detroit, Memphis, Philly and Turkey at the end. However, his body was no longer able to deliver at an acceptable level. He was a wreck from the years of alcohol abuse, partying, and lack of offseason work (note LeBron's dedication). And so at the end he was in such bad condition he refused to suit up for Big3 games because he was ashamed. He clearly wanted to go on, but didn't make the required sacrifices.
