AI was my favorite player growing up, he gave maximum effort when he played. In a way it saddens me to hear how he didn’t try to improve and how his ego controlled him. He only used his talent but if he had coupled that with hard work and discipline as well who knows what he could’ve been

Yep, 2000-2001 season where the Sixers made the Finals. Sixers got rid of Vernon Maxwell later during the season and then he signed with the Mavericks.

I was so mad when we got rid of Vernon for no reason. As much good as Larry Brown may have did, he also held us back because he was so stuck in his ways. And AI the type who would have needed a big man to play that role, somebody like Charles Oakley because he was too fearless to listen, but did respect veteran bigs.

When Mad Max ran hot on the court, boy was it fun to watch. Still remember a game where he single handedly beat the Spurs. He had all the talent in the world and I would argue Mad Max was MJ's least favorite player to play against and the only one I ever saw make MJ lose his cool. Of course Mad Max lost his cool so much it became his liability. Cant wait to watch more of this interview. Dude looks good for almost 60.

Mad Max is a real character, but he says things about his play like we can't check his stats. Averaging 5 points 1.2 boards and 1.6 assists shooting 33.6% in 15 minutes per game with the 76ers is downright awful my guy!

Allen clearly wanted to play several more years, that's why he bounced around between Denver, Detroit, Memphis, Philly and Turkey at the end. However, his body was no longer able to deliver at an acceptable level. He was a wreck from the years of alcohol abuse, partying, and lack of offseason work (note LeBron's dedication). And so at the end he was in such bad condition he refused to suit up for Big3 games because he was ashamed. He clearly wanted to go on, but didn't make the required sacrifices.

Allen Iverson was one of the most selfish players in NBA history. He’s single-handedly changed the game from the worst. He is the reason we have all the shoot first “combo guards“ who are really point guards that won’t pass. He cared nothing about winning only about getting his points and his swag
