FRAGRANCES MENTIONED: Dylan Blue Versace bit.ly/2OuDgf3 amzn.to/30eR5A9 shopstyle.it/l/brgNC shopstyle.it/l/brgND YSL Y EDP bit.ly/3btThL9 shopstyle.it/l/bsJQ8 shopstyle.it/l/bsJP6
i owned both, but i never received any notice good or bad from Y YSL, but a fair bit of good attention from Versace Dylan Blue. Dylan blue for me gets even more positive attention than Chanel Bleu EDP (maybe due the Chanel being more subdued and not as loud).
Own both and both are amazing in their own way. I will be honest, I have received more compliments with Dylan Blue than with Y EDP but everyone's nose is different. Also, I would suggest to switch it up instead of having women smell Y EDP 1st every time. Shout out from Costa Rica ❤️
I have the same thought, experience and opinion. I find Dylan more compliment getter. But everytime there's a battle between the 2, Y always win. IMO, I find Dylan more pleasing to my nose, although I love the scent profile of Y edp more. It's quite unique but lack the knockout punch. Dylan just jabs but consistently so it gets the job done pretty well.
What I like in fragrance is how reactions are different from one to another. I own both , never receive a compliment or anything with Y edp. Completely the opposite for Dylan Blue which is one of the most notice (positively) frag that I have own. I like Y , it's a good one but DB fits more with me .
If one ALWAYS start with Y edp, they tend to prefer that. The same could’ve happened if you started with DylanBlue. You’d have to alternate them to be more fair. At the end the young lady chose Dylan maybe because she smelled it first. See?
It's just that it's not objective at all. YSL always starts. Notice, once Versace starts 5:10 and there is a sudden yield. It's called psychology. This video is purposefully made to win YSL 😉
I have: Versace Eros EDP Tom Ford noir extreme Blue de chanel EDP YSL Y EDP Dior sauvage EDP Polo red EDT Polo red EDP And YSL Y definitely has gotten me more compliments!
I appreciate that you have a relatively large sample of people. It caused me one day this week to wear my YSL Y and appreciate it much more instead of ignoring it in my collection. I noticed that Y gets even better in the drydown phase.
This one actually surprised me a bit. I thought Dylan Blue could win by a couple or closely. I thought some would be bothered or not like the sage and its overall power as much as maybe the darker, minty patchouli in Dylan Blue. However, I would say I probably like Y EDP more as well for overall use.
@@nickpan7108....I think the women actually think that sweat accord is sexy....Sauvage has a bit of that too in its late development. Seems to be a thing with ambroxan dry downs.
Dylan Blue was my first buy before I knew anything. Ysl Y edp is my most recent buy, still in shipping. DB is fine, but my least favorite out of the current collection. I did wear it for a date once and she loved it
I've tried and used two scents and I completely agree with every word. YSL Y is my favorite scent of all, very versatile, fresh, clean, reminiscent of a pleasant spring day. Dylan Blue is also not bad, but compared to Y, it seems too simple and too intense, for me, I won’t say that it’s very complimentary and causes a stir.
I much prefer the Dylan Blue. The Y gives me severe headaches and is too sweet for my personal taste, more like a cool weather fresh teen night out fragrance with an over dose of sage and synthetic apple note. Dylan Blue is much more versatile, mature and an all year round kind of scent and thus a higher seller as compared to YSL Y in the world of perfumery. :)
@@zhofz I agree man. It is too synthetic sweet. No doubt it is long lasting and heavy projecting but more suitable for teen clubbing or night out scent. The Sage note is too herbaceous and slightly off-putting. Also, women generally either prefer fresh or sweet fragrances so it's no exception. If it is to be ranked as a stand alone fragrance then I must say it is pretty mediocre. The best 3 blues are still Bleu De Chanel, Dior Sauvage and Dylan Blue and the most versatile ones as well.
Easy for me...Dylan Blue....Easier to wear, strong but not too strong or cloying which Y EDP can be....However, 1 spray with YSL it works great, any more it goes into Eros sweetness and that sage is strong....Really Strong.
i find it boderline appealing, but i also own Bleu de Chanel (EDP), but i receive more positive attention with Dylan Blue. Maybe because Chanel is better suited for close quarters, but people rarely notice it unless they are right next to me or physical interaction through a hug or something.
YSL Y EDP is probably the only blue fragrance I liked & is the only one that isn't headache inducing. It's such a modern scent. I don't think it'll lose relevance for years to come. I just hope YSL does not reformulate it like they did with LNDL 🤞
You gave them all Y edp first. Being sweeter it creates a more impactful first impression setting the sweetness as the criteria. I do believe woman would prefer Y edp over VDB because of the sweetness.
Love YSL Y nice to find a decent performer in my collection! It’s so addictive I bought a 2018 bottle in case of reformulation and it’s still in its wrapper while I make my way through a 2020 bottle!
@@T10-i5s really decent mate get lots of compliments from it, lasts hours and hours best to grab another bottle in case of reformulations 👍🏽 Looking forward to starting the 2018 bottle for comparison!
@@Doppo69 thanks bro I seen Dylan blue from an official site 100ml for £35 which is a steal so was contemplating on getting that or another bottle of y edp not too sure what to get.
@@T10-i5s yeah want a bottle of Dylan blue but have way to many bottles to get through now before they go off 😂 Best performing ones have Dior sausage edt and ysl y couple of chanels but they last a hour!
@@T10-i5s get the ysl y it’s something different think Dylan blue been out longer and it’s performance has probably been reformulated! not sure though haven’t used it!
Should have done YSL Y Edp vs Y Parfum. Would be good to see real people's opinions on the 2 flankers compared rather than the frag snob opinions on Fragrantica.
Even you don't like Dylan Blue so you must be very happy with the reaction's BUT let me tell you ysl y edp is too sweet like girls wear...I got so so many compliments from versace dylan blue compared to ysl y edp...I know it's hard to digest for you but it is what it is...just sharing my experience, that's all...
Hi there, both are great mass pleasing fragrance but if we took them and analyzing them from the perfumer point of view, ysl y has more natural nuances and actually more natural ingredients in details much better blended
ccfragrances has many street comparison videos including one with Y and Dylan Blue and Dylan Blue won. In their videos, Dylan Blue wins the most. Just depends on the girl I guess.
Contextualization is so relevant that it conditions people. It suggests the senses in relation to the weather, the picnic situation, nature, the outdoors. A fragrance will be better if it is appropriate to the situation at the time of enjoying it. My claim is that this type of videos also conditions the audience. Since they are not certain, like a serious survey or field study that eliminates all possible biases. These videos may skip details, intentionally or unintentionally, I don't know. Because I don't know the interests of the channel even if I try to declare them. It also leaves the doubt if the content is edited, potentially manipulating the account in favor of one fragrance or another. Why do I see it and comment? Because there is always room for opportunity and maybe one day I will find content of this style but done with quality. And since I took the time to watch it, I very much agree with the opinion of the girl of the minute 4:50 going along the same lines as my argument.
Y will beat all easily because females like more fruitier fragrances. The bubblegummy vibe makes it yummier. Sauvage is good too does the job but Y EDP gets someone attracted towards you BDC again fresh peppery blue, mature and masculine but again not attention seeking. Y will beat it
Ha, they probably all think they’re going to get a free bottle. I always imagine testers’ disappointment when they don’t get one in these kind of person-on-the-street polls.
im bit disappointed at y edp at first, the opening is too synthetic, smells like a cheap woman perfume in 90s. its all over the place. im like, oh man, i should have bought a sample first. but then when it starts to dry on my skin. thats were the real magic happens. love the scent of it. did order a le perfum flank, can't wait to compare it
Ysl smells like working man, what i dont like also what i get with aqua di gio line. Weird ingrediënt what i find in these brands.. maybe someone knows?
