This is by far my favorite blue fragrance line. I actually really like Live too because sometimes the EDP can be a little too cloying, especially in the heat, but Live is a happy medium between the EDT and EDP with a nice dry down. I own them all tho just because. Great video!!
Personally, I really enjoy the EDT. Its a great office scent, you could wear it at the gym, or a warm evening out. I find it to be like a higher quality Nautica Voyage, with absolutely no roughness or overly synthetic scent. It smells natural, refined, and very high quality.
i feel the same exact way. after owning the edp, sometimes it felt way too much to wear to the office or a movie night with a girl, the EDT is perfectly balanced. just spray a little more if you’re on a long night out
I have been trying to decide between the EDP and La Parfum - testing them both. I find the EDP captures the true self of the Y line. Think more fun, eventful, and charismatic. The Parfum ventures out into a deeper, more personal version. Both are solid performers in projection and longevity-the EDP projecting further while the Parfum lasting longer. For me, the EPD opening and middle notes give it a major advantage over Parfum in that it captures the true essence of what Y is and is generally more mass appealing and versatile. The Parfum brings more creaminess and longevity and is an amazing skin scent 8 hours later. Choosing the Parfum over the EDP to me means targeting the unique creamier, denser notes it brings. Choosing EDP means loving Y in its truest self intended to be a versatile, mass appealing scent that is as easy to wear as any other fragrance readily available. The Y line is great and to me, shouldn't be haphazardly lumped together with other "blues".
For me EDT is easily the best. It’s the most balanced and isn’t designed to be impactful but pleasing and versatile. I’d like to hear more from your husbands point of view also!
I like the EDT and EDP. I get great projection and longevity with the EDT. The EDP is much sweeter, in a good way but doesn't project on me as much as EDT, and is better in cooler weather, imo. I haven't smelled Parfum yet, but just tried Y Live and think it's a happy medium between EDT & EDP. I think the EDT and Live will get more wearings once the heat is back.
I regret selling my bottle of Y Live. I’d rank it close up there it with the heavy hitters of this line. Even the EDT, which is my least favorite is still a fantastic scent. All that said though, Le Parfum is still my favorite, slightly edging out the EDP.
Y EDP is the ultimate blue fragrance for me - fresh, sweet and classy! Not so mature as Blue de Chanel and not so generic as Sauvage. The golden middle!
One problem… Y edt is absolutely amazing! You will catch this scent in the air and feel like you’re literally floating towards it. Edp is beautiful as well very sweet but the thing they don’t tell you is how salty the dry down ends up being 😖 I wore a sample of this on my skin from Macy’s all day, kept smelling sweet for an hour or 2 then it smelled like salty sweat 😅 it made the decision an easy one for me. I bought the y Live as well and sent it to my friend because it too was weirdly salty and childishly sweet but not really that sweet just weird lol. I’m a huge perfectionist and when it comes to my smell goods, I like beautiful scents overall. Edp and live nope. EDT was the winner for me. Side note. I can’t stand Savauge neither can my wife 🤷🏾♂️ I loved Chanel Edp and Parfum as well so there’s some context. 😊
I have the Y EDP, Eau Fraiche and the new EDT 2022. I have to say Eau Fraiche, very simplistic but amazing, it's my favorite. But the EDP is the best, woody-fruity scent. The new one, in simple word's is the same EDP but more aromatic. Longevity: Eau Fraiche 7 hour's, EDP 9+ hour's, and EDT 2022, 8 hour's
should i choose Fraiche or EDT 2022 release? (I've had EDP for 2 years) i need some lighter than EDP , im little tired of apples in EDP . (apparently the 2022 version is improved and more interesting than the old EDT)
@@carvinieri5217 I have both, the Eau Fraiche and the new EDT. I recommend if you are looking for something light but always with the same DNA, definitely Eau Friache. But if you are looking for something less sweet and making it more rounded, the new EDT version would be the best.
Lattafa Fakhar also smells nice and is like a Yves Saint Laurent Y mix of the EDT and EDP with slightly weaker performance good value though at around £18 for 100ml. Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition perfume By Lattafa is stronger and much closer to Y EDP for £14 so everyones a winner.
I'm with your husband on this one Monika. The Parfum version wins for me, although I do own both the Parfum and the EDP versions of Y! Both very good options!
I have never stopped in my tracks to get another whiff of any cologne before Y eau de parfum. This was an experience its like walking into a cloud of heaven before crashing back into an odorless environment
I have the edt edp and parfum I feel like I like the edt the best for some reason as it projects the hardest and longest on my skin love the whole line so far. Amazing fragrances!

I was wearing Y EDP for a year - no compliments from strangers. A week ago I did 4 sprays and a girl with a mask on 6 FEET AWAY asked “wow! What cologne are you wearing?” 🔥😂
It also depends on where you spray it. Once on either side of the neck/upper collar region. And personally i spray once on my Forearm. Because i’m constantly moving my arm i can usually smell the fragrance and other people will definitely smell it too
Have Y EDP 200ml. Long lasting around 4-6h, projection low. This is on skin. Better performance on clothes. 7/10. Maybe because I have used Y EDP only winter season. Also have channel 150ml EDP, this beat Y EDP on all category's.
@@morganmo6516 fake bottle bought from official retailer? Just weak for winter time. Now in my country around +15 C and overall performance better. Can smell it after days on clothes.

Don't listen to this wannabe "fraghead" Y EDP is not worth your time. If you want to buy a Y go for Le Parfum 12+ hours on skin with a moderate-strong projection. Also Y EDP is kinda a wannabe cheaper version of Sauvage and BDC save your money
The EDT has the aldehydes up top though. They really make it pop. The EDP levels up the density & performance but no aldehydes. The Parfum is the best as far as scent profile.
Only kept a bottle of Fraiche to wear during summer, as an older much more Sophisticated MAN I couldn't get on the Y hype train, Could see myself getting Parfum somewhere in the future & maybe try Live. I Think Bvlgaris' Aqua Line should get Way more attention. Still a Great, Cheap alternative to the YSL, DIOR & CHANEL Blues. And Narciso's Bleu line, Although rising in price, is another option if you don't wanna smell like your daughters boyfriend

I like watching your videos it helps with choosing good colognes. I recently purchased Bentley intense and I love the scent sad that my wife is not so excited over it.. one thing I noticed is that I bought it through a discounters site and it does not last as it's described on your videos... is there an expiration in terms of the longevity of the colognes when you buy them through discounters?
Bit confused as to how the original Y doesn't quite have the Y DNA. The EDP is good. Not as massively amazing as it's made out to be. I'm definitely a Y Live fan. Love the stuff and it's a compliment machine. Y parfum is too similar to the EDP for me. Eau Fraiche has a great opening but the dry down isn't anywhere near as nice and the longevity is way below average.
How does the EDT not have the Y dna like the original has? First of all, the EDT was the original that came out first. Secondly, how can it not have the Y dna when it literally is the original that set the standard lol
I remember a couple weeks ago I was in a department store and wanted to test a fragrance to get for my holiday and decided to give YSL Y another try I intended to try on the EDP and when I sprayed it on, I loved it for ages after spraying it on, absolutely adored it, but when I decided to try it again recently, I went to a different store, sprayed on the EDP and just wasn't as impressed, I tried it the next day too and wasn't impressed at all. The smell was cool but it was being outperformed by the likes of Dylan blue and Di Gio EDP, but this seemed so different compared to the original time. In the department store I originally sprayed it on, they had YSL Live right next to the EDP and they're almost identical, but I was pretty sure I chose the EDP but I had to flee due to like 3 commisioners trying to talk to me so is it possible I sprayed live instead and didn't notice as I had to hustle? Has live have better spillage? Seems so weird how I could love it one day and almost not even notice it some days later?
Owning them all I prefer EDT it's balanced the best....but for outdoors in very high heat tye Eau Fraiche is awesome too you get a very strong lemon smell mixed with the edt and edp smell in it as well.....all good frags though

3:06, of course, dylan blue is the worst blue fragance ive ever smelled from the popular ones, only people who cant afford better blue fragances like bleu de chanel parfum, Y edp, acqua di gio profondo etc are the ones who act like if dylan blue is the best because thats their way to cope with their jealous of not owning any of the best blue designer fragances, dylan blue is the most synthetic, unispiring and generic blue fragance ive ever smelled, but hey, it is 40 bucks from discounters so if its cheap its good ( HA )
Dylan Blue is great for what it is, a mass appealing entry level blue fragrance, it's not the best smell ever but you don't gotta hate on it just cuz it's cheap, that makes you look like a douchebag.
