so they only focus on hardcore coders. people that use game math on the lowest level to build their own shooting and physics logic. what about people that dont have a computer science degree ? what about Fortnite Players that want to be creative ? the current devices have many limitations and are not enough
I agree, it's pretty confusing to get my head around (coming from a c4d/archviz background)... But after seeing this presentation and the road map, seems to be a good time to start learning it, before it's maximal and more complex
i really dislike UEFN and the fact they're doing live QA on all the community and are not using much QA engineers to release a good quality editor updates - every single update is a complete mess that breaks a project and so on. if they were operating in a space where real adult engineers are involved and real enterprise who depends on their editor - they'd be sued for millions already, because are breaking the downstream projects that rely on their code and editor. the roblox and UEFN are lucky that they deal with kids who are not professionals and can be thrown around like that and will not sue for anything.
They don't engage in any kind of contract that ensures stability over the UEFN tech stack. Furthermore, why would they? Fortnite is a game targeted to a younger audience, no one is building software in UEFN professionaly. It would be a waste of resources to ensure the same level of quality as the UE5 releases. By the way, even corporations can't sue Epic for "bad engine evolution", as long as they don't have a custom contract with them lol.
@@avram_traian but they should respect the builders and the community and do some QA on their side 😆 they're making money with user generated content (maps and all custom content in them) they're feeding on effort of the creators
