Sumeru's story arc felt like Mondstadt's, the characters have significant roles in the story and are actually helping the Traveler. The difference is that Sumeru had much more build up than Mondstadt since the 2 main villains (Dottore and Scarymoose) appeared during the earliest stages of the game (1.1 for Scarymoose and Manga for Dottore)

What I love about Sumeru’s story is how all the characters the Traveller’s met so far are _actually_ helping him out, and I mean ALL of them. It just feels so amazing to see them all actually have a role in the plan, even _Tighnari_ is dealing with trouble with the Fatui at the Pardis Dhyai. They’re basically risking their lives to save Nahida and Sumeru and I love it.

What's nice about Sumeru is that the characters really feel like a team

one year later, still my favorite trailer from this entire game. the story quest the bosses (and the evangelion reference) and of course the music, hoyomix outdoes themselves every time

I love the similarities between Scaramouche's body and Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto, you can see similar parts to those from the 3 drops, even The Meaning of Aeons something that is deeply connected with Makoto is present in his design. As well as the Sumeru battle theme redone with Inazuma's instruments. The art department is on fire, it is just outstanding what they did.

This trailer was absolutely astounding! The scene with scara gave me absolute chills

i love the snap from "come and inugriate my birth as a god" to "fungus frenzy!" the snap of an epic fight scene to the traveller running around picking up fungus makes me giggle

The pacing from all cute vibes to absolute trauma here is insane. Hoyoverse and it’s plot lines never fail!

I like how this trailer is basically: "Enemies become allies" With both the Eremites and the event with the fungi. Would it be too crazy to think that next there will be "Hilichurls are friends, Ella Musk changes the world!"

Damn... Traveler jumping around fighting scara's big mech is just satisfying. Traveler did really crazy strong lorewise. And dull blade lol.

The sages abandoned Nahida for being a child, for thinking like one. Ei abandoned Scaramouche because he didn't fit her vision of the Shogun. Both of them were punished for things beyond their control, for simply being as they are. Despite everything she's been through , Nahida still loves the people of Sumeru, while Scaramouche wants to spread chaos and watch the world burn. I like how they act as foils for each other. "No wonder your people have abandoned you, God of Wisdom!"

I've never seen a trailer this heart-poundung since 1.1 for real.

This trailer has so much power in it, I just can't stop watching this master piece, the voice actors did kill it as well, not to mention the epic theme.

Bro Sumeru's story is insane!! The fact that everybody appears together for this (what I assume to be) last chapter, all the little details, it's all amazing! Much more interesting than any of the other regions. The story team really outdid themselves, it gets me so excited for what the future regions have to offer!! Also Kusanali is adorable, and Layla is such a mood hehe

The Archon Quests just get more and more STUNNING, I have felt this much hype since Inazuma's release. Genuinely, how is Fontaine supposed to top this?!

Still one of my favourite trailers tbh. The whole Scaramouche part is so cool, and the music that plays when he showed up? It's too good. And that line "let us reenact a scene of the Archon war. Come and inaugurate my birth as a god" is still as good as the first time I heard it. It's funny to think of the drastic change in his story. From a deadly foe, a newly born god given the name "the Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom", to Hat Guy lmao. But really, I loved his arc and the story so much. I still feel sad whenever I think of Nahida's story. I would love to read about her just feeling.. everything for the first time in her own body. Things that are so natural to us, sensations blending into our lives that we don't think of them twice are so.. big to her. Maybe it's just me but I don't see a lot of content touching on that. Layla is also really cool, her part of the trailer is so sick. I love her.

Oooohhh I just realized something, I've always questioned why the mech can control every element except for geo. Y'know something else that can manipulate every element except for geo? Anemo, maybe Hoyo was teasing what element Scara/Wanderer would be with his boss fight. Maybe this was intended, maybe I'm thinking about this way too hard, either way it's just a thought I had while playing the game.

I love how they started to experiment with combat NPC. Just supporting Jeht and Jebrael while they kicked enemies was really fun to watch.

The archon quest story looks emotional and intense, but I'm also intrigued by the new mechanics shown in the preview. At least part of the boss fight involves puzzle elements. Adventurer's trials will allow us to hone in on what makes different characters unique. And the monster trainer fungus frenzy could be especially cool. Very interested to see how the future Genius Invocation card game is going to work. Respect to Hoyoverse for trying new things.

Scara is such a complex character in this game, I love it!

I am so happy seeing Tighnari and Nilou still. So frustrating when Ayaka only served as an introduction to the inazuma quest and Yoimiya was there but only for a brief moment T.T I'm not hating on them, in fact it's because I like Ayaka and Yoimiya that I would've wanted to see more involvement from them. Meanwhile, the characters here are actually recurring! I love it so much!!
