I'd hate to say it but when there's a discontinue there's something really big coming soon. Think back to before caves and cliffs. That was a big update for terrain and we had to loose a few platforms.

Hopefully we get amplified worlds. It was one of my favorite legacy edition features

Tbh, i can see why they'd remove support for those devices. The newer android & ios devices have higher quality parts, and the newer operating systems support more features that the older ones dont. Sad to see them go though, o7.

The more advanced Minecraft becomes, the more older platforms are going to be discontinued. I can understand the discontinuation though.

Lately, with the declining performance of the Switch version, I’m starting to think that it’s nearing the end of its lifespan. I don’t even play on Switch much anymore because it’s so laggy that it feels unplayable.

Id love to see a few smaller updates like 1.15 if they could churn those out relatively quickly.

Honestly I want them to focus on smaller updates instead of focusing too much on big updates. Because they were so focused on releasing big updates on schedule, they missed a lot of bugs in the previous version and followed up with a bunch of bugs in the newly released version. There are too many errors happening from items to multiplayer mode. After releasing the hot fix, a few more errors occurred :))) now I have to wait for the next update to be able to play with my friends

I, unfortunately am one of those players who uses an old version of phones to play Minecraft. I've been playing Minecraft for 9 years, yes, nearly a decade, and it's sad to see that I can only enjoy Minecraft from afar, seeing as my friends play while I just sit and watch as they enjoy it themselves. My family can't afford a new phone since we are not as privileged than the people around me that casually play popular games. Minecraft has and always been the only game to ever stuck around to keep me happy as most games are heavy (difficult for my phone to handle) to the point where my phone can no longer handle it. It already hurts that I can't play nor relate to these popular games my friends play (Genshin, Roblox, PUGM, even Clash of Clans), so seeing that the only game that I can relate to others, now will be out of my reach is devastating. Yes, I know that this will be implemented in Feb 2024, but regardless, it still hurts. Of course, Time will do its thing and hopefully I will have enough money to buy a new phone, but until then a "o7" to us fallen warriors.

on my phone, i have Helio G96 CPU and minecraft is still a bit laggy. kinda frustrating to play here sometimes compared to PC.

So basically Mojang is just pulling a Microsoft and ending support for Android 7, kinda like how Microsoft no longer has security updates for Windows 7 PCs, u can still use Windows 7, it's just ur gonna have no security and stuff, I'm gonna guess and say Mojang is gonna do the same thing or MCPE will be removed from Android 7 app stores saying "ur device is not supported"

There’s this problem that really annoys me. I’m a mobile player & sometimes when I go on the game it sign me out & then sometimes when I sign back in it deleted my worlds. Idk how to fix this.

Maybe that's why I keep experiencing huge lag spike especially sometimes game crashing even if I have android 😔

Keep in mind the only iOS devices stuck on iOS 12 is the iPhone 5S and 6. From 2014. 10 years of Minecraft updates is reasonable

If you edit the apk, ypu can get it to work even on down to android 2.3, i dont know why microsoft is doing this. I just wanted to point out, minecraft bedrock runs poorly on all my devices other than pc

Hopefully they implement 3 villager iron farm on bedrock. Because 20 villager iron farm is stupid because mojang focuses on the performance of the game but they didn't know how lag villagers in bedrock are. The lag created by the villagers on the iron farm is not worth the amount it produces. MOJAAAANG

If you got scare by discontinue part about IOS 12 and android 7, it’s usually means your old device needs to be updated to iOS 16.5.1 and same goes to android newer devices. Go update now or whenever, but beware the deadline.
