www.vhhydro.com Lights in the video: geni.us/2vDvyVi The hydroponics towers from Vertical Horizons are now available in 3 sizes - 1m (for 18 plants), 1.5m (for 30 plants) and 2m (for 45 plants) and the cost is excellent considering the care and detail. They come with everything needed to create a productive vertical garden and everything is food safe, recycled or recyclable. Hydroponic systems take very little maintenance and produce great yields on a tiny footprint. In my opinion the incredibly low running costs, high yields and low maintenance make hydroponic systems the method of choice for my leafy veg growing although I have grown micro bush tomatoes and various herbs in them no problem. As the nutrient requirements can be very different for leafy and fruiting plants I prefer to have separate systems for each type of plants so I can get the nutrients in solution right for the plant - that way they grow faster, mature quickly and yields are always great. The desktop hydroponic planter I showed in a previous video can be bought from Letpot here: letpot.com/ You can follow my drive toward self-sufficiency, gardening and food production experiments on the Thousand Yard Stare channel: ru-vid.com/show-UC1pgJBGQrUfCUAhk63U5u5A If you prefer a free speech platform to watch content then please check out my channels on Odysee and Rumble: Odysee: odysee.com/$/invite/@ThousandYardStare:e Rumble: rumble.com/c/c-1824507 To be honest I've not much idea of what Rumble is or does but it seems quite popular among people more tech-savvy than me....and somehow plenty of people have already found the videos judging by the views (and 'Rumbles'?). Both Odysee and Rumble have new videos uploaded to them as soon as they upload on RU-vid.

Nice one - I've grew Bok Choi and Pak Choi hydroponically last year and it went mad. I've not grown beets other than in soil so that's an interesting one.

Doing really well there bud what do you think to the table top systems?

The tabletop systems as in the all-in-one Letpot system I featured a while back on the channel? That is useful and some of the lettuce in my vertical towers were started off in there. However, a simple propagator to grow from seed to young plan followed by a DIY system like the NFT / flood and drain or Kratky does the same job at much less cost. I've featured all types on the channel last year as far as I can remember - they all work well but the tabletop all-in-one really only produces plants up to a certain size before they get too overcrowded. Lettuce will grow under simple lights too so setting up something DIY (e.g. Kratky) with lights works out to be very cheap with almost no effort.

I will be put at some point no worries. Every spare hour I have is normally spent doing projects in the garden but once the garden is set I will have time for other things.
