A banging jazz-metal fusion piece, dedicated to Tigran Hamasyan, the legend who inspired it.
I began this piece in 2020 after hearing Tigran perform his piece "What The Waves Brought" on KUTX Austin's RU-vid channel, and I've been tweaking and adding to it ever since (stay tuned for a live, extended version!) It marked the beginning of an influx of similar pieces; modern jazz trio, arpeggiated cross rhythms in piano, synth bass, and drums contrasting dancing intricacy and forceful straightforwardness. I hope this inspires you the same way Tigran has inspired me.
