Just chiming in to be clear, virtually all consumer plasticware that is made out of polycarbonate is BPA-free for the last ~15 years. Tritan is the main commercial BPA-free polycarbonate used for food safe wares and is as safe as silicone for indoor home applications. The main advantage silicone has is that it's stable when exposed to UV, which can cause carbon-based polymers to degrade and release toxic byproducts.
Quite different! This is much larger doses than sworks and is just that fast flowing flat bottom whereas sworks you can play around with the screens and incorporate immersion flavors into the brew
