I never comment on videos but I have to drop in to say that this series with Pepe and José has been amazing. I am so impressed with the reverence Pepe has for coffee and his dedication to the craft of growing it 🙌 Pepe was right in this video, this series has inspired ever deeper levels of appreciation and care in this already obsessed coffee nerd
Hey Brian! I love your explanations! I currently have the V2's and looking into a new grinder. Do you have any thoughts as to how this would compare to the SSP Sweet Lab Cast V2 or V3? I feel like I love clarity, but as you said I think I may be missing something else. I only brew filter!
Interesting one but the Ode2 was set way too fine! This is harsh for sure although haven’t even reached the tasting part. Give it a shot at 7-9. But overall lovely vid!
There's only one thing left to do. Make coffee. Move on from the consumerism and improve things that constantly change. Your prep, the water, and the beans.
This is when I wish smell TV existed lol..... As an Ecuadorian this makes me proud to see you there and enjoy thanks to Pepe and Jose for putting Ecuador on the map!!
Thank you for the video, I am new to the espresso game and getting ready to order the pico, question why does everybody weigh the amount of coffee that comes out? Shouldn’t it just be until the water runs out or do you stop at a certain weight? Thanks again
I picked one up few weeks ago. Been enjoying it, I do see my brew times are much longer than my Hario Switch. In the video what was the brew time for the cup y'all made?
Hey Brian, really love the content. Would you recommend doing a burr alignment on an Ode Gen 2 with stock burrs? I’m not sure it’s worth the effort or not. Would appreciate your advice, thanks!
Thoughts on the Kalita Tsubame? I feel like its been out forever yet no one talks how fast and consistent it is. Also curious on your preference for narrow vs wide flat bottom drippers. love this kind of video btw always a fun watch.
WoW! With Auto-Level I bet the ride quality is far superior to that of a Rolls Royce and NIO ET9. Tesla's gotta maintain the lead and stay on top of the China's emerging technologies.
I was in the first batch of FLO orders. Enjoyable dripper, but I sold it to get a glass SWORKS. I found myself enjoying the fast screen the most, that oshi looks nice though. Can't say I'm disappointed with selling it and I absolutely love the SWORKS, but it was a fantastic brewer in my time owning it.
This video was super clutch, I'll have to test this method out with the Brazil Cup of Excellence #3 beans I just got from Bean & Bean. I really wanted to try a special recipe for such special beans, so this works perfect. I've been loving this channel lately, really wish I would have found it earlier. Keep up the great work man
Curiosity has me wanting to try it but if I were behind the bar I would be laying bricks. What if I failed on the dial, what if I fuck up the pour, what if the customer makes a face.
df83v new owner here. Just trying to justify my purchase. With a few uses so far. rpm has a readout, magnetic cup and funnel, very quiet, fast, going between filter and fine is easy, re-zero is a set screw. lots of burr choices at 83mm. I appreciate all of the comparisons on the nets
