What an amazing officer, seems like a very caring soul and was so polite and helpful. Love to see interactions like that despite the awful circumstance that we’re watching this.

Honestly, this feels like a classic manic episode. Over confident, rash decision making, up late calling friends, the sudden deep dive into religion. I think she intended to vanish in that moment but then maybe ran into the wrong person. Edit: huge shout out to the officer. I hope the police use that video to demonstrate compassion, in all their training sessions.

I am a trucker, and I stop at the Love's in Williams, AZ, all the time. As a matter of fact, I am coming up on it as I'm watching this. It really makes this story hit home harder. I also stop in Seligman, AZ, many times. I don't know if I can be of much help, but I will definitely spread the word and keep an eye out.

I kept seeing the picture of her holding a cat while mentioning her bearded dragon and was really questioning my reality

I would be curious to know if her camera actually had pictures of the soldiers and or cemetery on it.

As someone who grew up in Arizona and grew up camping all over the state, I think people truly underestimate how COLD it gets overnight in the desert. I do think there’s a serious possibility that she went searching for help, got lost, and succumbed to the elements. Either way, I hope she is found soon

Watched this body cam footage recently and it wrecks me 😢 this cop was sooooo kind and sweet. The whole body cam video and footage is freaking wholesome and beautiful. I pray she is okay. This breaks my heart.

I don’t care how invasive it may seem but in cases like this, their phone, computer, camera etc data should be looked at. It could potentially provide so much insight into what happened. This should be the case for anyone who is missing under suspicious circumstances.

Annie please please PLEASE look into Layla Santanello. She is a young mother from Tennessee who has been missing since June. There is now ANOTHER missing girl from the same area who possibly ran in similar circles as Layla. They both are mysterious as it seems they both literally vanished into thin air. Please help get this case the publicity that it needs, Layla’s mom Jennifer needs all the help she can get getting Layla’s story out there!!!!

I can’t help but point out that she went missing in a national forest. There is an entire series by a man named David Palides from missing 411 where he presents real life missing people who disappeared while in a national park or national forest. This seems right up his alley and hits many of the facts he looks for in the missing 411 cases. 🤷‍♀️

As a fellow bearded dragon owner and prior exotic pet transporter she would know roxi would not do well without heat and uvb for long. So she imo wasn’t really thinking clearly to begin with or something else is at play completely.

The cop that dealt with her was absolutely amazing. I hope that she is ok. She seemed perfectly fine and in a decent head space. I wonder how both of her tires got flat. God this is heartbreaking. I hope roxy is ok too 😢😢😢 ❤❤❤ It sounds almost toe like maybe she walked to find a house close by or a store OR she went to sleep somewhere and something happened. The 2 flat tires has me feeling some type of way and the euros thing and her talking to the hotel guy about changing her name and shit. Soooooo strange.

As a former cop, hunter, camper and now a full-time RV’er of over 2 years, much of that time in AZ, I say this: She was killed. A male picked her up or abducted her near her car. She’s probably in a shallow grave in the forest. Trust me, I’ve camped out in that area for weeks at a time and never saw a person. Although unlikely, I would want the statement from the friend in Phoenix. If it’s a female, no worries. If it’s a male, look deeper. Keep in mind she may have picked up someone on the freeway that led her off the highway, then flattened her tires in a remote spot. You’d need the police info before even starting to search.

Chelsea and I went to boarding school together as teenagers. I pray for her and her family daily. Thank you for your coverage, the more eyes on her story the better. Praying she makes it home soon 🤍

I'm not sure why, but I got a bit of a red flag when she told the officer she was working on a documentary about LOST and FORGOTTEN people. I was also concerned that she made these grandiose plans to drive across country and from the west coast to the east, but from your reporting, not only had she not gone camping since she was a teenager, but had also not gone very far in her trip in 3 days. There does feel to me that she was going through either some very emotional stuff, or even possibly dealing with some mental health issues. We have no idea of who or what she ran into during this trip and how her experiences effected her. Maybe she really was trying to escape something or someone. Thank you for sharing this case with us.

I had a bearded dragon we named Grogu. They are amazing pets but require a lot of attention. They need baths quite regularly, warm baths. They can be very picky eaters with fresh vegetables and crickets, certain roaches etc. They need certain lamps/bulbs to mimic the sun and keep their bodies warm. They are not a pet you typically go camping with. I pray they are both basking in the sun somewhere and get in touch soon.

I have Crohn’s disease (no longer have a colon) and I completely support you spreading awareness for gut health!!

Also it doesnt make sense that shed go off grid with her beardie. Beardies need some specific lighting to stay healthy and to be able to digest their food. They need specific uv ligh and heat lamps. She has no way to provide that if shes camping or off grod

She mentioned wanting to stay off the grid in the clip where she mentioned changing her name...possible that the issues w/her boyfriend and attending a wedding in the midst of this took a toll on her, along w/any other epiphanies she may have had during her travels...hoping she is safe and just wants to start life over alone, and left her camera behind as a way of saying goodbye, and starting over. It's sad overall but I'm hoping it's not something more dismal. Hope you are found safe Chelsea, and Rozzy too! 🙏

You know, sometimes we don’t know what people are going thru & how that affects them. When she said, “the lost & forgotten”, the crying, probably not wanting to attend a wedding after her relationship ended, the mind can sometimes shutdown to protect itself. So many people have walked away from their lives to be found years later in another country or in a city, homeless. The camera was probably too much to carry and also it’s a valuable tool that attracts the wrong people. Truly sad for her family, not knowing.

It feels like she ran out of money, gas, & resources: trying to use euros to buy a hotel room; abandoning her car instead of calling a tow truck; camping alone on a long trip from CA to CT. I think another channel mentioned her parents saying she had money issues. The whole trip she was making sounds so dangerous and ill advised to begin with. Hopefully she will be found safe.

I live in San Diego too and like you mentioned it takes about 5-5.5 hours to get to Phoenix. I’m majorly questioning why it took her 3 days to arrive at her friends that late into her road trip if her sole intention from the beginning was to get to the East coast in a timely manner to make a friends wedding…? Just something that really stuck out to me in combination with your brilliant detective work Annie 💓

Annie, thanks for another tragic tale, well-told. I've driven across the country three times with pets, cats which fellow travelers love. I always plan out my trip so I drive during the day and sleep in a nice hotel at night. You have to watch out for yourself. There are predators out there who would love to hurt you given the chance. If I am running late, I call ahead to my hotel and let the front desk know. Be careful or disappear. 💔

As an avid backpacker and hiker (41f) the decision on leaving the camera behind is based on weight and bulkiness of such camera. It makes sense to only take the necessary items to survive. Also carrying a camera in a backpack while hiking/walking can demage some parts if you don’t bring any special case with it. It all depends on what kind of backpack she had, if any.

This is super close to me. My friend’s husband was called out weekly as he’s on the volunteer search and rescue team.

I truly hope nothing happened to her and Roxy, this is just truly heartbreaking because if something happened to me and my beloved pet ended up in danger because of it, it would devastate my soul.

You cant carry a bearded dragon around anywhere for any length of time. They MUST have basking lamps, warmth uva/uvb lighting. I highly doubt she took a reptile to carry on her shoulder incold weather. The beardie cannot handle those elements without a proper enclosure, foods and lighting as I mentioned, and I'm 100% positive that Chelsea knew that. Any reptile owner knows their pets necessary needs.

The double flat tire was sus to me. I tried to think what I would do, I would probably stay with the car and hope to flag someone driving by, although maybe she did and that someone was not a good person. Not knowing this person I probably wouldn't take anything of value just in case but would insist on my pet being with me. If she were having a mental crisis it may have been easier for someone to take advantage of the situation. I hope her and roxy turn up safe.

The 2 flat tires part is what I keep coming back too. I drive back roads and dirt roads all the time and I have never blown out 2 tires at the same time. Was something deliberately placed in the road to damage her tires and then removed? This has been done in the past. Also, given her proximity to the border, I would give the human trafficking angle some thought.

One thing that I’ve learned is that if you’re going to travel alone, at least share your location with somebody at all times even if it’s Snapchat or something so that you at least have a last location if you go missing with the technology nowadays I think that’s the most responsible thing to do Even if you don’t share it with your parents, share it with somebody a friend who will at least we call 911 if you’re gone

Thank you, Annie Elise, for covering this case. There's been dead silence since Chelsea wandered off from her car with her "essentials". A person who commented on another YT channel talking about this case said that he/she lived in that area and said that there's sharp volcanic rock along the sides of all the service/back roads and you would never drive in that area with regular tires unless you wanted them flat (explains the 2 flat tires on one side of her car), plus he/she said there was either none or spotty at best cell phone service in the area of her car. I agree...it's understandable that she left her camera in her locked car, and brought the sleeping bag because it's a very rural area and she didn't know how long she would be walking to get help. You knew a lot, and I appreciate the extra information you always give us, Annie. I heard Chelsea actually has a Masters degree in Social Work and was to be starting a new job (I think) in a few months. But I didn't hear about the depressing phone calls she made before she left San Diego to friends (could have been associated with her BF her sister said she was scared of). I never heard about the bible verses on her social media, with things underlined, etc. though...which is a game changer for me and a major red flag. Nor wanting to change her name...I just heard about the euros (which she could have gotten from the friend she visited, which friend could have just came from an overseas trip and given Chelsea a few euros) but doesn't explain why one would use those to pay for a room in the U.S. (very odd!) and comment that she wanted to stay "off grid", and her cancelling her 2nd meeting with her friend suddenly...lots of "odd" stuff most people wouldn't do. I am thinking manic episode also, and it's very, very odd they haven't found her, with LE looking, a paid-by-the-family private eye looking, and the "scary" BF + his male friend looking for her. The parents only said she was upset about her BF but said that all the other activity (taking pictures, going camping, doing stuff off the cuff, etc.) was very normal for Chelsea...I just wonder if there's some mental challenges that the parents are keeping back from the public. Again, I saw another YT'er do a search within a few miles of her car...he showed it was a very, very rural place with abandoned old farm buildings, etc. With a new job to go to in a month or two at the time, her closeness to at least her parents, visiting friends on the way, her plan to originally fly to get to a wedding on time...I don't see Chelsea taking off to start a new life, nor does she seem the type to be engaged in nefarious stuff. She could have been picked up by an evil person who did something to her; but sadly, I get the feeling her mental state and the elements got the best of her, and her body will be found in some either forest area or abandoned farm building huddled in some corner...I hope to God I'm wrong and she's OK somewhere, and maybe even hiding from the searchers because of her mental state. She went missing and her body was found but no one has been arrested. A lot of people think it’s her husband and he’s been arrested but was let go. Her family is trying their best to keep her case alive but it seems that nothing is happening and they deserve justice! Thank you!! ❤

Seligman and Ash Fork are odd areas. My SO and I stayed a weekend there touring properties to purchase. Most of the properties are 40 acre parcels, completely off grid. I cannot imagine being able to walk to anywhere helpful in that area. There are some very nice locals, but we were told it is a place where people who want to be isolated and off grid move to and that people like us who would not live there full time would really need to invest in security. We chose to purchase in a different area.

I'm a van lifer in Arizona. I've been all over. I know that cemetery and Love's in Williams. Most camping/boondocking spots have cell service, including much of Kaibab National Forest. I've been solo traveling for 3 years. I have so many questions.

I’m about halfway through the video and I have thoughts. My family and I stay in Williams when we visit the Grand Canyon. This ain’t a town you walk around in. No sidewalks, dirt roads, few shops. The closest town for car repairs is in Flagstaff which is a 30 min drive. This story is confusing and unnerving.

You mentioning how it would be easy to remember a woman carrying a bearded dragon reminded me of a time maybe last month I saw a woman carrying a bearded dragon in a craft store I used to work at, don’t remember how she looked but I definitely remember the bearded dragon. This was in California about 3 hrs away from San Diego. I hope she’s safe, if she doesn’t want to be found I just hope she’s not in any danger whatsoever.

We have a bearded dragon, they require very little care, especially for a short period of time, like 1-2 weeks. It would be extremely easy to leave one with a friend, her parents, etc., without putting them out. It's not like leaving a cat or dog needing high maintenance. That's the part I am hung up on. This seems sketchy from Day 1. Her poor family. :(

I wonder if her car has been checked for a tracker. Maybe someone was following her without her knowing.

This story is strange from the beginning. It takes around 43 hours of driving to go from So Cal to Connecticut. So if she changed plans last minute and started the drive the day she was supposed to fly out she never would have made the wedding anyways. Unless she was flying out a week ahead of the wedding. And then she doesn't head in that direction at all but goes in an out of the way direction and ends up in Phoenix. If she was actually heading to the wedding she would gone up 15 to 70 then 80 to the East coast. None of her actions match the story. It almost seems like her intentions all along was to disappear. I don't know. Just too many holes in the story that needs to be filled in before we can really know what she was actually intending to do.

Beardies are truly wonderful companions, but bringing them on such a long road trip is not the most responsible idea. They need to bask in direct sunlight or beneath a UVB bulb for most of the day, but they can still overheat, to say nothing of how easily they can get too cold. They need fresh greens, and calcium supplements, along with insects and vitamins. They also have humidity requirements. Beardies may be desert animals, but their natural habitat is a very specific ecosystem that the American southwest is not a particularly good match for. I hope that sweet girl and her human are found safe and healthy, but...

Thanks for sharing! I feel so bad for her family! I think your theories about why she took what she did make sense. It’s just odd that the original plan was to get to the family wedding, then all of a sudden she completely changed her mission. Looks like she met with foul play. If she was ok, someone should have seen her by now.

I totally agree with you that she left to get help and then met something nefarious along the way, or fell or something like that and met a tragic death. Im in AZ and those would be my best guesses. There are large predators in the forest and with her being fairly inexperienced in thee outdoors, I’m leaning towards something in that vein happening. I’m glad you brought this case up. Initially it reminded me of the geologist who recently went missing and his car was found in the desert out here, but there are a lot of conflicting evidence as well. It was just a thought.

Like a few other comments here, I'd like to know how two tires were flat. Were they punctured with a sharp object, run over nails or just old cracked tires? If deliberately punctured for a slow leak, maybe it was by someone who saw her in the truck stop and followed her. Or maybe when she stopped to use a restroom somewhere. Crazy story. I hope she's found 🙏

It seems like she never had any intention of going to Connecticut. She seems off center emotionally which could mean she was frightened of someone or a group of people . I think that person or people caught up to her and he or they made her disappear. She seemed scared to go home and that explains her driving in circles in Arizona. 2 flat tires are also suspicious. I think she was followed and abducted by whoever she was scared of

I live about 35 miles from the area she went missing. The weather and terrain she went missing in is hostile year round. Mine shafts, no water, no trees only dessert scrub, scorpions, rattlesnakes, Gila Monsters, and terribly easy to get lost in. We all know dehydration can cause delirium. Many folks hike out there and underestimate the environment. Also there are many off grid survivalist that call that area home. Not all are friendly. Lastly the area is known for meth labs. The area is hostile. Everyone in the area( I am in Prescott) is aware of Chelsea and her bearded dragon. Photos of them are posted in many public places and the community is keeping an eye out. Many of our volunteer search and rescue memebers continue to organize searches for her. Sadly other than her vehicle no other significant trace of them has been located. It is my sincere hope that she will found safe. However the longer she has gone I worry she was injured out in the High Desert, trusted the wrong person, found something she shouldn't have seen, or perhaps just had a mental health episode that was severe. I hope she is alive and well and perhaps just left the are somehow and will contact her family soon. Sadly my heart and gut doesn't think so. Edit: This is a small town. We look out for each other. The tri-city area is large in size, yet small in inhabitants. My neighbor Anthony is a Yavapai County Sheriff. He openly admits the same concerns we town folk have. Yet he assured me her case is active, open, is a priority, and volunteers from search and rescue as well as the local community are avidly looking for her. People think many comments are BS are attention seeking. I wish I could post a pic of our Cul-de-sac and his cruiser next door. Because our towns efforts and concern for her are sincere, real, and active. If she was able to wander to the upper basin of the Verde River in Northern Paulden, Ashford, or Seligman she would have a water and food source, and be able to survive on basic human instinct. I.E. we are dehydrated we see water, we drink. Parasites, bacterial be damned you drink. If and hopefully when she is found Yavapai Regional Medical Center is a five minute Med Evac flight. If not, and someone local has taken or taken advantage of her, they will face justice as we are a "try that on a small town"( credit Jason Aldean) community. My prayers 🙏 are sincere and hope the latter is not the case. If her mother and father choose to come here and search for her, I hope they know locals with provide lodging, YSCO, community members, as well as our old school cattle ranchers will assist them in their search free of charge. I am a Social Worker, may partner is a R.N. and paramedic,y neighbor a YSCO Sheriff. We could care less about clout or clicks. Our community is full of professionals and laymen who are grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins and so forth. We want folks to come here and enjoy our natural beauty and resources. Not have them feel unsupported during any type of crisis, taken advantage of by the evil that sadly lurks amongst our community and many others, or feel lost or insignificant if they become vulnerable in a strange place. The next volunteer search group will be meeting Friday at the Prescott Courthouse steps in Prescott, AZ 86305 at 7am. Local trained volunteer search and rescue will be present to educate all who attend on personal safety, finger touch searing, GPS mapping, basic 1st aid and how to maximize searching by clearing communicating and setting up search grids. If you are local or near to us please attend. An extra set of eyes is always a blessing. As far as any Private Investigators trying to take advantage of her family, please don't bother, our State laws allow for prosecution for those who intend to financially benefit from the families of lost or at risk loved ones who manipulate vulnerable loved ones desperate for hope. If you are sincerely experienced or not then by all means show up, ask, and learn how to help. In this case a young woman's life is possibly at stake.

From right in this area (Chino Valley near Prescott)! Know all these towns! Don't feel that there are many unsavory people around here? But do know how wild and untamed much of the landscape is. If she lost her way off forest roads she may be anywhere. Hope she is found safe but....
