i was shocked about the Roadmaster active suspension. I've never heard about it either, but now it got my attention, I will check them out. Great video, and very informative, plus it keeps me coming back.
it does the same thing as adding an extra leaf spring but much easier to install and without extra ride height unloaded. what he said about changing ride quality was false though. this effectively increases your spring rate in the rear which will without a doubt make the ride stiffer.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N2qhZ7W339c.html ; i loved it so much on our 2500 duramax that i became a dealer. 1500 duramax video goes live later this week too!
@@123devinzz1 First hand experience it does not. neither 1500 or 2500 duramax rides any stiffer unloaded. buy one from us and i'll refund you if you find it any harsher of a ride at all
As a long time general contractor, I must say that the trash push trailer was totally bad ass. I can’t even begin to tell you how many hours over my 45 year career I’ve spent unloading trash and debris at the dump. A massive time saver.
A dump trailer doesn’t work for a lot of the things we do. Due to the type and bulk size of a lot of our debris, plus when I bought my debris trailer, only P&J offered a model that had extended height on the sides. That trailer at the time was $9000 more than I paid for mine. There are many more options today
message for Manuel Sr. Texas push off, if you put a door near the frount and enclose that, you can use the pushing wall as a moveable divider and put equipment like mowers in the frount, and grass clippings in the back , make the sides steel panels instead of mesh.
I'm to small of a guy to justify that trailer, but I see all these guys at the compost shoveling off sod clippings from edging flower beds etc... that would be a huge lifestyle change for them!
Have a leaf vac blow them in through a hole on top. Setup a leaf vac on the tongue, or the discharge hose into the top of the trailer, and stuck up the leaves that you pick up.
@@littlejackalo5326 How, exactly, does stiffening the spring NOT change the ride? How does it increase the payload, increase the cargo capacity, help pull a trailer, increase the traction, or keep the wheels planted on the ground? 50% payload and 30% tongue weight increase? Not a chance... literally all it does is increase the spring rate, and it does so by loading OEM components in ways they were never intended to be loaded.
Thanks for all the awesome videos Stan. I'm not in the trades or anything of the sort. I'm a software engineer who likes tractors, equipment, etc. I love the trade show stuff you do because I can't really ever justify going to them. So I get to live vicariously though you. God bless and go get em!
I just installed the roadmaster active suspension this last weekend on a Superduty. Very easy and simple install. Haven't pulled the camper yet but the empty driving hasn't changed since I installed it.
@@lesleyboeder1798 around $500-600 if I'm remembering correctly. It's competitor is basically air bags but you don't need an air compressor or any of the maintenance that comes with bags. They do list their price on their site.
@@lesleyboeder1798 check out their HD springs; we have some on our website but carry all of them here at the shop. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N2qhZ7W339c.html
I too, never heard of the Road Active Suspension, but will definitely be looking into it further for towing my camper. Stan, thanks for bringing us great info regularly
Someone needs to build a removable enclosed cargo box to roll on/off a utility, dump, or car hauling trailer. Something like you thought was going-on with the AirTow trailers.
Thanks for all your hard work and for the Variety of your content, Stan. Much appreciated and usually learn something. Looking forward to seeing that robot 🤖
I can tell you Stan, the lay flat trailers from Airtow are awesome. I mostly see them in upstate NY hauling scissor lifts and forklifts. When we moved our shop we borrowed one and it worked and towed great with an 8200lb forklift on it! We even moved a dead 7200lb forklift with it with no headaches as the one we borrowed had a winch on it. It rolled on and off with ease.
We use them in our rental fleet. We move scissor lifts almost every day. They have proven to be worth the money in ND when all your tilt trailers are too icy to get anything loaded onto!
Thank You Again ! For All Your Hard Work You Do. To Educate Us With Great Content, Awesome Videos, And Amazing Audio👍 Always Happy When A New Video Is Posted😊 As Always GOD Bless, And Stay Safe 🤸
If the equipment you showcased is as smooth as the salesmen you interviewed, well, it reminds of coming back from West Germany after not watching American TV for two years. We just sat mesmerized by the ads. We had never seen anything like that before.
Great video! UHaul needs to invest in lowering trailers for an additional cost. It would making moving heavy loads so much easier for guys who don't need to own a tailor.
Thankyou buddy for sharing these with us us! I'll never get to a show like this!! You just gave that air dump trailer guy the Golden ticket and I dont thinknhe caught it! Why not have a modular top for the dump trailer that just connects and turns a dump into an enclosed!!!!
@@Dirtmonkey I will be the first to get it if you say its worth a dam Stan. For real. You always give real and extreme tests and honest feed back. I for one appreciate it a lot.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N2qhZ7W339c.html check it out. I liked them so much that I became a dealer for RAS. they are pretty awesome. putting them on my 1500 Duramax in a video I'm dropping this Friday on my channel
Liked the Timpte trailer at the beginning that lowered to the ground for loading. Would love to see a trailer with the same technology but that would lift the trailer bed up above the wheel wells for loading and unloading material. Hate that my current trailer is a pain to load with fork lifts, seams like the wheel wells are always in the way and I end up having to either load or unload by hand.
I'll be checking out Timpte trailers. I have seen the helper springs before. They do not increase legal load carrying ability. Should allow you to carry the legal load with less squatting.
Timpte had one of those at the 2021 Farm Science Review at OSU London Ohio agriculture campus. There's a dedicated winch inside the tool box on the tongue which raises and lowers the trailer. The dealer at the FSR show was asking $13,200 for 20' deck and 10,000 GVWR. It is a really well built trailer.
I had the R.A.S on my 2001Silverado when I bought it new. It made a huge difference pulling trailers. I've been looking for years to get one for my 2017 Silverado but I couldn't remember what it was called. Thanks for the info
we got them if you need them buddy!! check out them on a 2500 duramax with a 40' toy box. also new video friday on them with a 1500 duramax ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N2qhZ7W339c.html
Some awesome stuff!! I’ve seen RAS before, and would have loved to try it on my truck, but the 1500 ram has a coil spring so that doesn’t fit…. Air bags ftw!
