Very High Frequency Noise Ambient Sound for Six Hours

Mostly frequencies above 5000 Hz (5kHz) to 20,000Hz, Very High Frequency Noise is similar to Blue Noise and Violet Noise from the series, but contains less low frequencies. Listeners may find VHF Noise useful for reasons such as relieving ear fatigue such as tinnitus.
This is a request came from someone seeking ear fatigue relief.
I'm sure some will dislike VHF Noise's intensity. It's like licorice, one either love's it whole-heartedly, or can't stand it. :)
The creation process involved a DAW (digital audio workstation), ProTools. A audio signal generator was utilized to create noise which is then equalized to create noise only above 5kHz. The audio is recorded from the generator for 10 hours. The exported into a video editing program, Magix Vegas. A corresponding video is created with custom graphics I made in the video program. The visual is animated, then married to the audio and rendered out to the full length final video.
RU-vid's high frequency delivery in the compressed audio format is detectable as a mild swishy sound. There is no way to improve it with the current YT delivery scheme
I welcome, enjoy and learn from your comments.
Thanks for listening. Dale

this is probably the most accurate representation of a white noise. white noise is meant to cover the full audible spectrum, the same way that white light covers the full visible spectrum. The fact that most white noise recordings stay mainly in one small frequency range, sort of disqualifies them from being true white noise. A few recordings I turned on and used a frequency meter to read, and they just stayed sitting at around 230-270 Hz. This recording actually hops around between frequency ranges while keeping the amplitude mostly even throughout - which is what proper white noise is meant to be. Thanks, Dale.

For whatever reason the pet shop has a different type of crickets this time and I absolutely HATE them. They sound like a chorus of broken gears spinning at top speed. I can't sleep. This video can drown them out okay. The super worms don't like it though. It's most effective with headphones on. I don't think I can sleep with the headphones in but I'll give it a try.

@SunbatherInTheSnow 6 лет назад
I hear it as slightly resembling rain but a bit more like the static on old telly that's not tuned in to a channel: there's the fuzzy, rain-like sound that almost everyone can hear but also a very high-pitched sort of hissing/whistling sound which is audible to youngsters and dogs but inaudible to many people past their mid-twenties.

I'm just looking for a sound that is outside my hearing range. My sound bar cuts out if there is no sound, and then it won't play sound until it has been receiving a sound signal for about 5 seconds. It's hugely annoying. So I want something that I can't hear to play in the background so it keeps my speaker from cutting out when I pause a video or if it's just quiet for a few seconds. Honestly I need something low frequency, though, so it doesn't drive my dog nuts and give me a headache.

The zeitgeist cognitive dictatorship leaves unlikely hints: Star Trek Beyond when “cyber-pathic” drones nullified by VHF Beastly Boys. Gravity’s Rainbow: “A screaming comes across the sky” WWII V-2 breaking London’s sound barrier. 2002-7 version: human screams + air raid siren “incoming” sound effects. Like Munch’s Scream of Nature: his sister w hands over ears tinnitus that drove her into the asylum depicted below the bridge in the famous paintings. “It has happened before...” & since. When on-line I hear the same effects depicted in the movie “Personal Shopper.” Very jolting but not as loud. Reading books does not provoke that effect. Which means: reading guud, online baaad. My fist to that.

high frequencies sound louder to us, and are more damaging to our ears. A higher pitched sound played at the same decibel level as a lower pitched sound may sound louder - though both of these sounds could be equal decibel levels

Right next to it is her old tank thats now being used for crickets. I buy 65 or more crickets a week. Sorry to hear of this discovery. My top end is not what it used to be rolling off above 16kHz. I wear earplugs quite a bit and have scaled back loud concert sound engineering.

@@dalesnale Hi Dalesnale. Thanks for your response. I've just used a free ( so probably not very accurate but the best I can do ) app to test my hearing and it says I can't hear a thing above 5khz. That'll teach my younger self not to be in the front row of live rock concerts. I also have tinnitus, and wierdly it's at a frequency above my hearing limit. Doubly annoying! I've found 'violet' noise posted by your good self, and that I can just hear, so that's what I'll use to mask this pesky tinnitus noise, although I think I need to have it at a volume that will p*ss my wife off!

@@digitalchris6681 What a bummer. A trip to a specialist may be beneficial. A lot of electric guitar players have issues in the 2.5-6.3kHz range (my analysis from their monitor speaker mixes at shows). Most listen to VHF-Noise medium or low volume. It is less appealing to the significant others than Pink Noise and lower frequency noises.

Oh my. You are right! Part of the long play creation art is dealing with these massive render files. And sometimes flaws happen. My old computer was so slow to render I did not fix the error with a second 30 hour re-render. My new setup is better suited for catching and fixing these and generally sticking to Ten hour format. Thanks for Listening.

@dalesnale
@dalesnale 4 года назад
Bat echolocation frequencies start at 11,000 but are primarily between 20,000 and 212,000 Hz which is well above what speakers for human listening can represent. Still, there is a slight frequency overlap so the theory merits testing.

Traumatic can come from gunshots or high music being listened, it’s believed to destroy some cells that can no longer be remade, can also come from mandibular apparatus or be psychological such as when you are really stressed. I’m 22 and having it for a week only on my left ear. High pitch, doc said it maybe a sum of stress and my jawline being cramped and putting pressure on the ears, I hope it’s that way, but I fear I may have blasted high sound and created it with trauma. We’ll see I guess, stay positive
