I thought Haltane was decent the first time I smelled it. Then I kept thinking about it. Then I bought a bottle and it just gets better and better, I really love it. I also think it’s pretty versatile. Dressed up, dressed down, most weather. I probably wouldn’t want to wear it in 100° weather though lol Overall, I think it’s amazing but I don’t think it’s one of those that everyone will like. It’s not an Aventus or a Sauvage
I definitely agree a lot of the niche fragrances we enjoy is definitely not mainstream. Everyone I’ve told about Layton be looking like 🫤🫤😕😐 “huh?!” In my opinion Creed isn’t even mainstream. Anytime I read my fellow fragheads saying something is mainstream I just brush it off. Until one of them old ladies at Macy ask me to smell it it ain’t mainstream! So enjoy the fragrances you love.
I feel that. I’m always baffled when someone messages me saying that don’t wear something they like because random people on the internet call it basic lol
@@melissanacional9662 I agree… EXCEPT for Dior Sauvage. Sauvage IS the only fragrance that’s Waaaaaaaaayyyyy too common for me to even consider ever getting a bottle
This is indeed slept on. It’s because people only wanna compare it to ofg when talking about it, so then everyone just loses interest thinking it’s too similar. Nonsense. This is better to me than OFG, fresher, and has a sweet push that separates them and imo makes haltane easier to wear and more versatile. You can easily wear this if it’s 80 degrees outside. Professional if you spray moderately and my girlfriend LOVES this on me.
Haltane is my most complimented fragrance in a day. I wore it Essence Fest 22 with no exaggeration 11+ with majority unsolicited. If you been to New Orleans you'll know how Hot and Muggy it is especially in July. And it performed great, Men and Women both loved it. I only have worn once since, an got a couple of Compliments... But I'm scared wear it now cause of the first time was so good that I know it'll never happen again lol. With that said Layton and Layton Exclusif is still my favorite by far from PDM 😂😂
I don't think Haltane is a mass appealing fragrance, but at the same time, I don't think it's challenging either. I have a bottle, but I'm not 100% sold on it. As we get into the fall, and things cool down I think I'll have a clearer picture on how I feel about it.
Agreed. It’s not a typical designer, but I’ve received more compliments from it than my “mass appealing” scents. I think it’s so different that it makes people want to comment on it.
@scotts1354 within my collection Haltane, Layton and Herod from PDM always pull alot of compliments. Hypnotizing Fire by The Harmonist and Imperium by Electimus also pull a ton of compliments.
@@aBlackWebhypnotizing fire smells heavenly. I wore it on my date w/ my lady. She had on Lillian ldbs and we just knew we were the best smelling people downtown
I've only gotten Haltane recently. It was nice but it wasn't an instant love. I was like, it's just ok. But after 2 wearing, I was falling in love with it. It smelt the good kind of unique. It's oud is smoothest in my collection. Smoother than Tom Ford Oud Wood.
Haltane is my favourite from pdm. have this, Layton, Perseus, Herod and carlise and i find from autumn through to spring i reach for this far more than any of the others... although with the warmer weather approaching Perseus will be the mostly worn one for these few months but the rest of the year haltane is so good and easy to wear for most occasions
After trying several Parfums de Marly perfumes for Fall and Winter, I think I finally found my favorite: Haltane. I've already used Layton, which I love, especially the opening, but after a few hours it becomes sickening. The swit Carlisle or the super esoteric Habdan, which I'm using now and which I use on special occasions, and which I think is underrated. As soon as I tried Haltane, I thought, "this is exactly what I wanted and that only Parfums de Marly could offer it". I simply love it, at every stage. For summer and hot weather I use Galloway, another underrated and superior product (with more personality) than the mor populars Grennley or Percipal.
I bought it because i wanted a niche fragrance and because the bottle looks nice with the green color which is my favourite color. Gifted it to my dad since its more of a gentleman/mature smell
hello, just picked up a bottle of this, does anyone know if the newer bottles or batches from pdm have smaller text on them like the one in this video? my bottle has significantly smaller text on the bottle where it says ‘HALTANE’ i have 6 other bottles of pdm and the others have bigger text. anyways mine smells just like the sample i’m not too worried it’s fake.
I noticed the same thing with my new bottle of Haltane. I have been researching & searching for more info. This video is the only place online that I have seen the smaller font. I have been told that these bottles are the newest batch & new bottle design from PDM. May I ask what your batch number is & where you purchased? My batch is 3153101.
@@Mr.WillGoss yes, i’m glad someone relates. I am quite sure it’s something to do with PDM and newer bottles of haltane, perhaps others, maybe just a minor inconsistency or a permanent change of text size. i’ve seen a couple more online pics/ videos recently of the same small font only on haltane bottles so far. anyways my batch number is 3163106. i purchased at saksfifthavenue. also my bottle smells terrific and performs wonderfully so regardless i’m ok with it. it just looks odd next to my bottle of carlisle and pegasus exclusif lol.
I rather do LAYTON, HAROD, OR GODPHINE but I can't wait for PARFUMS DE MARLY ALTHAIR to be out. Thanks for the tip on HALTANE. Have a nice n blessed day. Take care
La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Electrique is a La Nuit de L'Homme flanker. I love it, one of only three fragrances I have a backup of (has a lot to do with how hard it is to get), but I get some don't like it. To me it smells like the old La'Nuit de "LHomme with a hint of Bleu. I dig it.
Great review! I agree that Haltane is similar to Layton in the sense that it is versatile and mass appealing but also unique in it's own way. It has that strong PDM lavendar note that gives it an "expensive soapy vibe" but is also woody and sweet and has some complexity. I really like the scent but agree that it may not be quite as attention grabbing or compliment garnering as other scents.
i didn't like Haltane upon first smell. however, it smells amazing on my skin. the performance is great and i feel like it gets better and better after the initial smell subsides. it's just funny how you can never know how good or bad a fragrance is until you wear it on your skin for a few hours
The heaviest fragrances are made for and worn in the Middle East, where it's much hotter than in the States. In other words, the summer heat allows the fragrance to unfold. Just mind your sprays.
I have Haltan and Layton, there is something in PDM that iritate me. I prefer wear this at home. Haltane is Strong, longlasting but im not like smell like sweet burn powdery dirty ashy oudy Arab- budistic temple. Similar to OFG, nothing with BCR540.
I love Haltane and will definitely be picking it up really soon for the cooler seasons. Smooth blend, clean oud, it smells super luxurious to me! Lasts on me until I wash it off! This resonated much more with me than Layton so I have to get it
Haltane is a....i hate to say it....a fragrance for the mature person who wants to smell dignified. It's not designed to be a banger or something that will help someone with an agenda beyond smelling classy. It wants to be respected, not noticed if that makes sense.
@@inspiringvision6900 I got the supposed 10ml sample today. Definitely NOT 10ml, more like 5ml. Was leaking a bit and doesn't really smell like the notes suggest it should. After an hour, I smell no cinnamon, no vanilla, but it does smell like it has incense. I'll wait till a decant place I've ordered from before and that I trust gets it in and try again.
Same! I like Haltane, but don’t luv it. Haltane is elegant, niche Oud with hints of other notes. That’s it. I own Layton and Layton Exclusif…both better than Haltane. Haltane Might be fifth behind Herod at #3 and Carlisle at #4 respectfully. Haven’t smelled them all…yet. Next PDM recommendation people?
Haltane was honestly a scrubber for me. I love Herod and Layton, like Carlisle and Percival but this just doesn't work at all. It's similar to Pegasus for me, just doesn't work.
Where did you get haltane from? I noticed the wording of Haltane looks smaller than what I’ve see on other videos and the Pdm website. I got Carlisle and I had the same smaller size wording on mine.
hi see where on the bottle where it sais Haltane mine is the same font as yours but everywhere and on tiktok i see that the H has to be bigger than the rest of the letters. mines a tester, now seeing that yours like mine douting its fake but why isnt it the same as the rest
This is the best fragrance I’ve smelt out of my 70 fragrances idk why, I never knew this smell was unique, smells like a candy apple with some lime involved. Insane smell.
I’m telling y’all rn nobody else wearing this, this is a kind of everyday event type fragrance, good for bowling, ice skating, fairs, carnivals, fun dates etc.
@@maxmx767 not really cuz I know it comes down to personality.. but personality alone can't also help u get laid lmfao.. yes u got the charisma but if u smell like sinusitis in the middle of summer of course u aint gonna get laid lmaoo
Also Oud there?? This is a bottle of Oud!! Inwas at Harley Nicol yesterday, girl told me this is clear best seller here.. I live in dubai and all Dubai smells like this, rich smell and rich persons smell.. this OUD smell! It is even boring here, but shall be even bigger hit in some countries
I brought it the other day dat shit🔥🔥my opinion it’s uh 10/10 to me I’ll go far as to say it’s better then Layton my opinion. Layton gave me uh menthol type of smell but it’s good doe
Some of us like scents that 95% of people would detest so it’s good to discuss what is mass appealing vs someone asking WTF are you wearing it smells awful 💩
for the price is very trash. smells like piss . when i first sprayed it for a week i kept trying hard to like it and it smelled so bad dude like pee and must. now that it settled a bit it smells a bit better but idk def a very niche product . i wouldn’t recommend to wear on dates especially first dates
Haltane can be pulled off in the summer just like Naxos can. You didn't wear it in the summer so you don't know. Carlisle is your baby which is making you bias. You are not willing to accept that Carlisle is a one trick pony (winter) and Haltane has diversity of seasons and occasions.😁
I wouldn’t touch Naxos in the summer lol. But Carlisle hasn’t been a top 5 scent for me in months so you’re wrong on that too lol. But if you like Haltane, wear it
Other fragrance influencer's have also said Naxos and Haltane can be pulled off in the heat, so I tried and are the only fragrances I have received compliments for. I live in East county San Diego, Ca. averaging 90-100 degrees in the summer. @@melissanacional9662
