The roulette machine is like any other fruit machine. Makes no difference what number you pick, if it's not due to pay out, you could have hundreds of spins before your number hits.

Mind if I make a point and I agree with hypa here. If your gonna play bookie roulette, why not go to casino and play roulette on a real table instead and get the banter and the beer? Well I put this under another video as well because Timmy said he didn't understand about percentages and randomness and this is my take on how it all works, I'm pretty sure I'm broadly correct. You'll find exactly the same wording under an earlier video, just thought nobody would look there so I'd put it here as well! This one's for Timmy, Hypa's friend, just because of something he said in the video. My take on percentage and random is this. Imagine you've got 3 bowls - yup, the 'pots' in games like Rainbow Riches are always there in all these games, just not always on show. So you can chuck a handful of copper, or silver, or gold at the player. Now IN THEORY, the longer a machine goes without doing a decent payout, the more it steps up/down through the pots. So - exaggerating to make a point here - if it had just paid out £500 but you didn't know this, it would only chuck random handfuls of copper at you. If it was heavily played and the last £500 was a couple or three weeks back, it could chuck out handfuls of silver and if it hadn't paid out anything much for a WHILE, you might get a couple of handfuls of gold. (Not necessarily t he full £500, just enough gold to balance the books.) So if you had a ledger/spreadsheet taking notes of the exact amounts of 'copper', 'silver', 'gold' (small, medium or large payments) being chucked at you, it would always equal 88% (or whatever the stated percentage is) of the money going in. All the random number generators are doing is determining how big a handful OF THE POT THE CYCLE'S CURRENTLY IN gets chucked at you. The RNG is NOT determining WHICH pot's being used. So if - again for argument's sake here - it's in the copper pot and hits a run of small numbers, because only a few bits of copper are being chucked out, the system realises it needs to do more to get its percentage right and steps up to the silver pot. If the RNG then hits big numbers and chucks big handfuls of silver at you, the system will step back down to the copper pot. If the RNG stays on tiny numbers mode, the system will step up to the gold pot. Now there IS a difference between the 'hidden' pots and those on view in games like Rainbow Riches.... The 'all at once' bronze, silver and gold pots are serviced BY the hidden pots. Oversimplifying for simplicity's sake, the system's chucking the occasional handful from its hidden pots into each of the CORRESPONDING 'all-at-once' pots. Which means it doesn't have to step up through the hidden pots anywhere near as often because it can balance its books with the occasional 'all-at-once' pot. So yup - the payouts on machines with visible pots WILL be smaller than those without them because the all-at-once pots can always be used to balance the books. So yes, you CAN have percentages with a RNG, it's just using its hidden pots!! Hope that didn't send you - er - potty. Chris (ulrichburke@hotmail.com.)
