I was there, working as a photographer.. They came and did two shows, flew off for two days and came back for a few more days.. I had seen them a few times in Liverpool and in Manchester but this has lived in my memory for ever and to see it here, what a gift.. Thank you.
What a treat to see them as teens -----------and what a testiment to the beatles with all these Jersey people commenting and finding this rare video and giving us all the details. To think we'd be watching home movies of them 50 years ago ---- and for a few precious moments ---- falling back in time for a glimpse of what was. And now to think ----- they belong to the ages. Thanks for posting this great video -- and giving us a moment to enjoy, ponder, smile, wonder, and to live that moment.
Excellent find....We too live in Jersey and my son is now doing a project on the Beatles (ages 10) - he couldnt believe it when I told him they had come to Jersey! Thanks you..
My father knew the owner of the Revere Hotel very well. My brother Geoff and I had about half an hour with the Beatles over tea and sandwiches during their August 1963 visit to Jersey. The guys were very welcoming and funny, always cracking jokes and genrally messing around! That was one special occasion we will never forget. Malcolm
Fantastic find! Most of this video filmed at the Revere Hotel, my late grandfather Marshall's business. You can see him at 1.35mins walking in the background.... fantastic!
Yes as PhotogOliverDoran said it was it was the Revere Hotel which is in Kensington Place. My sister was working nearby and was asked out by John. She declined!!
I love these old films! The Beatles were in Jersey Aug. 6-9,1963, just think JFK was still living! BTW where's George at the pool? Except for boarding the plane we never see him.
