Ukraine is the sister in this song. Purple men are supposed to be Russia. They are singing in czech (first part), than english, chorus is in ukrainian and rap part is in bulgarian. Vesna is a czech female group mashing czech folclore with modern music. There are 6 members of the group now. Three are czech, one from Slovakia, one from Russia and one from Bulgaria. They are making their own music and playing their instruments.
This song is Genius! The video and the lyrics both have double meaning! It is deffinitely about supporting Ukraine/ anti war but at the same time its also about female empowerment/ anti toxic masculinity. A lot of respect for the people involved in producing this masterpiece!
@@huaiwei If you mean cleared to compete by not having politics involved in the song, I think everyone is mentioning the war at Eurovision this year, so I guess its not the case
The song is in Czech, English, Ukranian and Bulgarian rap part. There is oficial video on Vesna chanel with English subtitles and marked with the language they are singing at the moment. And short story in the beginning. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bFm-hw2rUeA.html There is a lot of symbolism, dressed as a Russion dolls - what they are NOT - violet is a colour of imperialism (JUST THE IDEA, NOT JUST GOVERMENT), TV for propaganda, the girl before the mirror ends in shock painted as with blood, the end as a press interview...and "hopefully not the end". The soup has letters instead og noodles, she is fed with that letters (BTW it looks like a Ukranian soup and she is eating it as their land) And the last sentence is We are standing for U... (kraine) So there are 3 underlines: 1) about freedom of speach 2) about war 3) about difference between how women look and are and how society wants them to look and act.
Thank you! Finally a good explanation for those who seem to need it. It's insane how many people don't get the message(s) of this song! I truly don't get how anyone can be that blind! It's so obvious... I just love that they're representing Czechia and I voted for them and I will also do so in the finals. This song has to win, not only bc it's beautiful and there are finally some Czech lyrics there, but and foremost because of the message! Love from Germany
It might be sometimes hard to pronounce words that are foreign to your mother tongue I guess?? 🤷🏻♀️😅 I know I am French and there are definitely some words I can't pronounce correctly in English 😨
