You're welcome I highly recommend you go into the videos on my channel and look for a carb cleaning part 1 part 2 and part 3 and watch them it will give you just about everything you need regarding the pilot jet you might want to buy a new one because that can be very difficult to clean because on a 150cc it's extremely small otherwise you should be just fine as the one in this video and the ones I will show you in my other video which is from a 250cc Scooter use exact same methodologies

I do the same on my own scooters it really stops the rust and means you will be able to dissemble it in the future without stripping screws and bolts, etc. Good work!

You should be able to order it online or at any authorized Kymco dealer in the US where they will ship it to you through the mail the only question is whether that gasket is available as an individual purchase versus the entire carburetor as this model is getting older they're probably not offering as many individual Parts as they would have at one time however what might be easier even if your gas gets snapped is just a said in the groove and code it with a very small amount of RTV cement look for a kind which can handle continuous contact with gasoline now remember when the float does its job the gas sits below the gasket line so it shouldn't be immersed in gasoline however if you park scooter on a side stand then it would be immersed in gasoline continuously But If You observe leaks you could always look for something else there's also probably a way that you could create your own Robert gasket and you could probably look on RU-vid for DIY carburetor bowl gasket and see what comes up. Why were you planning to replace your existing gasket did it break or do you feel like it's become over compressed mine is still going the original one even though I've disassembled and clean the carburetor probably like 10 plus times over the years and also opened it up to swap out different pilot Jets to find the one that worked best and recently to replace the jet needle which wore out and yet there are no leaks. If all else fails I have a backup one I could mail to you.

When you cleaned the carburetor did you open the top where the rubber diaphragm is? if the answer is yes I highly suspect a diaphragm leak the test for that is easy you will remove the rear boot put your finger inside the carburetor and you lift the plastic slide if you don't feel resistance and if it just Falls up and down then there's a vacuum leak and if that isn't taken care of the slide won't rise the way it's supposed to and the symptom is very slow acceleration and you can't go over about 50 miles an hour. Another possibility is a vacuum leak one of the boots is not on correctly so the carburetor sucks air from the outside instead of through the carburetor work and add gasoline. You are right to keep the air fuel mixture at the stock setting it mainly only affects idle anyway and cannot be used to compensate for other problems. Take a look at my carburetor cleaning series and somewhere in one of those three videos you will see where I put my finger on the slide and demonstrate the technique for testing for a vacuum leak in the diaphragm. Report your results.

i think i have a bad diaphragm. there’s a tiny bit of resistance but the rubber seems to be old and has lost its flexibility. thanks for getting back with me

Sorry about that I know that can be frustrating this one was meant to be just a light overview the real details of cleaning I cover in my carburetor cleaning series you can find it in my channel part 1 2 and 3 really goes into it in detail this video was mostly just getting at it taking the thing off putting it back on hooking up hoses but not really meant to be a detailed cleaning for this particular model since all the small CV carburetors are basically the same

@@pcofranc thanks for the reply. Probably just in a bad mood because I can't get this darned thing working haha. I used another video for taking the thing out, however, now I've done it, there wasn't much difference. I used a little bolt to close off the fuel line. Thanks for the rest of the video, turned out to be quite useful.

@@rationalgazer Good the little bolt to plug the fuel line is a good method. Did you get it started yet? I get in a foul mood often when I have to deal with this stuff.

@@pcofranc well, I got it clear and clean... still had thr same issue. Turns out that the HT/Coil line had sheared... that's one to keep an eye out for. :D

Tthe stuff I do actually works if you want to follow other stuff people do where they hack things up and then the stuff never runs right again it's your choice.

@@pcofranc Correct way is to remove carb, spray into every opening with carb cleaner, wait, blow out with air compressor to make sure all passages are clear. An ultrasonic parts washer is better. Hit the jets with a torch briefly to burn out any residue restricting the jet hole. It's really not hard to do it right. I agree that some thing should not be messed with... float height.. jetting.. if it was right before it should be right now. Clean the carb correctly and set jets to same settings.
