Ms.Vesta "Voluptuous" Williams puts on a wonderful live performance at Concerts By The Sea in Redondo Beach, CA.
This concert performance has never been seen before until now (2020)!
The band consists of some of the hottest performers to ever grace the stage as a unit. They are Tease members Cornelius C. Mims (MD/Bass), Kipper Jones (Background Vocals), Derek Organ (Drums), and Tommy Organ (Lead Guitar). Additional band performer is Michael Norfleet (Keyboards). Rest in Paradise Vesta and EJ Jackson of Jackson Limousine Service.

Cracked me up when she told me “don’t rub.” This was my girl. This woman was THEE absolute truth. NO ONE besides Vesta could sound exactly like Chaka… so much that at times it use to have Chaka tripping. Those were the days. I use to drag my cousin Zon around with me to hang out with her. Wow!! I've been reminiscing quite a bit lately. I don't know how this just popped up in my feed but I'm glad it did! I was at that concert and Vesta was phenomenal! I met and hung out with her on numerous occasions when she use to hang out with my boyfriends band...General Kane. She was a lot of fun and would sing her a$$ off!! This is before she got a record deal. We all knew she was going to make it because her voice was a force to be reckoned with!! My heart broke when I heard of her passing. Rest in peace Ms. Vesta Williams!!

Not until this moment did I ever realize how much she sounded like Chaka. She was truly a hell of a singer. I love the orchestration of certain songs ESPECIALLY 'Tell Me' and one other where she's driving a winding hwy in a Corvette. I know she's gigging in heaven! INSHALLAH

She was definitely one the greats during that time, but with Whitney, Anita, Sade, Miki, Stephanie, Angela (Winbush,) etc., it’s hard for me to call a favorite. We had so much talent back then. I can’t even name one vocalist today that can stand with those ladies. 🤦🏽‍♀️

My only thing is… the instrumentation could’ve been done a little bit better…. But otherwise vestas vocalization skills are superior and she sings beautifully! Love this
