Finally did a live gig :)
Vestals rearangemet we made of "For an Astronaut" to perform at the uni of sussex pride ball
Also despite us asking for them to be turned up the violins are super quiet :(((((
The song is taken off of our current progress on the 5th shed dust album, being written originally for my brother as he loves space, however its also now taken on another meaning about going off to uni and watching your old self die, I felt it would be really fitting to play this song in paticular at the end of year pride ball as we began the year by playing the clockwork climber as a trio, but now we're able to come back, each of us a little different from where we began, with a full band (and one where i actually get to play guitar!) and perform something more proper with vocals and all the bells and whistles.
So long story short: its a song about change,
and we felt it lines up well with the vibes of an end of year ball. Furthermore we cannot thank the at the time president of the society Alex for giving us the honor of playing this gig, and we can only hope to be able to find more opportunitys to gig in future!!!
