This was a fun change of pace, and a welcome one, at that. I'm totally up for more of these Emergency Vet games. I also really like this style of video upload. Surprised at how many deaths there were in this one, but I kind of like that because those are the real consequences in a workplace like this. You're not a magic superhero, after all. Also, I did not realize Legacy made a detective game? I'm going to have to look at that...

That Code Blue actor, he's here... remember the cop that brought in the guy suspected of PCP? Well he's part of the couple who fed their dog only vegetarian meals in the Karma case near the end of the this game. That actor is back to being a cop in 911 Paramedic. So glad another Legacy game has wrapped up! VE 2 definitely has some better upgrades in it's gameplay, but there's other interesting changes I'll get to later! Thanks again for posting these!
That caught me off guard too when I first played that case. Only that time, the humming was the very first sound clip that played, it made me think for a brief moment that it was the background music.
With the number of cases in this video, it feels almost as though it would have been better to do one giant video with the whole game in it! Totally get if that's not the way you want to go though. As it is, I do appreciate not having to wait nine months to see the entire game! Go was in Vet 2 as well, and I was always amused at how little effort that case requires. Super quick! For a while, I was wondering if we were actually going to see the "Owner Refuses Treatment Plan" resolution in the second-to-last case. A bit odd, after the introduction laid on their characters so thick, that the owners suddenly were apparently okay with whatever being done to their pet. It's interesting when these games try to introduce more complex or unique cases (like Irving the rat whose owners supposedly won't pay much, or the two pets here who die), but the implementation is never really very good. It struggles to wrap things up very well, and while the summaries in Vet 2 help, I don't think they fully rectify the issue. Speaking of the death cases... wow, the game went hardcore in the middle of this video! I think I'm glad I didn't have this game as a kid - those would have really haunted me, I bet. Whether to include cases like those is an interesting dilemma; I think they're undeniably some of the most interesting and memorable cases for it, but it's also quite dreary. If I had to choose myself, I think I would go with Vet 2's unique set instead, a pair of cases where an animal has nothing wrong (that's known, at least) and is just being brought in for a checkup. Much more pleasant. Thanks again for uploading this game! It was neat to see and especially to go through all of the "new" cases. It really is a shame that Vet 2 copied so much of this game (I'd say about half of the cases, plus basically all of the surrounding stuff), because otherwise it would be a really clear upgrade. Even so, though, I believe every single animal model in this game appears in Vet 2 as well, but Vet 2 has several that don't appear here (mostly if not entirely exotic pets). So it has that going for it... Looking forward to the imminent Vet 2 videos and revisiting that game again!
I don’t see myself uploading the games in one go, probably, unless I suddenly find myself with much more free time. It takes a surprisingly long time to record the videos with how buggy these games can be. And as it is, my computer took nearly a whole day to export this video. I dread to think of how long a combined video would take! And yeah, I’m weirdly disappointed that option, as well as the euthanasia option, never became relevant. Obviously, they aren’t happy endings, but they would show a grittier and possibly more realistic side to the vet industry. I suspect Vet Emergency was originally intended to have a cost system. In the tutorial and promotional materials, you can see a cost down in the lower left where the vitals are. It would have been interesting to see how different tools would increase cost, and how expense would have affected case outcome.
