You failed to mention that any money comming in from SSA will be off-set and the amount of VA Pension will be reduce to equilibrio the max. VA pension.
The system is crippled by all rules and regulations, none of these were brought up during the Active Duty swearing in and oath of service...how convenient.
The VA has all the qualifications on their website, but I recommend having the veterans organizations VFW volunteers put in the forms, so there is a record of 1st application. Because the VA deliberately mishandles and requires multiple tries, after 6 months, send the info in bold type below. Also, contact Veterans Organizations like VFW and NAVF for help for all benefits, medications etc, also have civilian doctors fill out VA Medical form, keep a copy and put a copy in all civilian medical files. Check all applicable time periods on VA website. Note: *If in Vietnam 1955-1960 even 1 day he qualifies. Send a letter to his U.S. Senator with all correspondence between the VA and yourselves. The letter must ask his Senator to “investigate the mishandling” of _________. (Fill in the blank, Disability, Aid & Attendance, whatever) Make sure he is getting VA Medical benefits, also. Mishandling is routine for the VA. They will respond to a Senator starting a Senate Investigation (per U.S. regulation)*
Do you explain comprehensive aid and attendance? My husb requires full time care has parkinson's struggling for almost a year taking care of him at home with my son. Wd he and I qualify?
