Thanks Marty for your honest review “ at lest I got 2 Xs lol 😂 like you said there is no such thing as perfect seat but I did try “ I like to thank the veteran riders who have bought the seat “ and we have sold over 100 so far “ thanks again Marty for your review stay safe zoomwheelsbrian.com
This video has meant I will be buying it, nobody wants a “yes this is perfect buy it review “ but the line “this is possibly the most comfortable seat you can buy” is why this will be in my rucksack for long rides. Cheers!
Yeah you are right about the Zoomwheels speed seat in regards to comfort, it really is superior! I have tried the Veteran seat but found it very slippy and uncomfortable if I am honest. I even found it to be pretty challenging to get enough weight forward whilst sat on it to get moving properly... I think that was due to a combination of the height and the positioning of the seat.
Yep, one of the main selling points is the LCD screen. Velcro, what a great invention. Thanks for the tip and about the oscillations. Waiting for my first ride. Weather should clear up in a couple of days. Also, thanks for the tutorial set up on the Sherman. Ready set go!!!😃👍
I have both seats and I much prefer my zoomwheelsbrian.com seat. It’s by far more comfortable. I like the way it’s s connected to the crash bars so there is no stress on the body which is only designed to take the wait of the battery’s and not another 220 pounds person. having a seat is like having two wheels. So much fun . So my verdict veterans seat 2-10 zoom wheels Brian 9-10.
Zoom Wheels could make a 2 version of the seat. Half sized, make it even better, and more of a day to day use. Just imagine it half of its size, with same mounting for back, and Velcro mounting for front. It could even cover the handle, and simply flip up when you Want to extend the handle. P.S. That foam material on the Sherman seat is probably the same Inmotion used for making their seat, and power pads (It's probably the exact same OEM they outsource it from). It stiffens tremendously on cold weather, becomes hard, and uncomfortable to use. That is one of the reasons i returned my V11 Power Pads.
I think rubber screw head caps on the bracket screws could stop it sliding, rather than tape (to keep it standard) Also, I open mine forward when using the trolley handle 🤷🏼♂️
Informative review. 31 min worth of seat. 😂 glad you love the seat. The veteran seat doesn’t work if you’re short because I can’t lean hard enough forward to go faster. It actually wanted to go backwards for me. The zoom wheels seat is great. But i can see it being great for long rides it just affects the shorter jaunts. The zoomwheels seat might not fit on all veterans without modification as it seems because the veteran crash bars are also varying between batches.
ive got the Veteran seat purely because of cost, though i would love to try before i buy a zoomwheels seat. i noticed those front to back oscillations on hard mode .I checked the tyre pressure and it was down to about 20psi.Pumped it up to 30psi and no more pogo effect! Fixed !
You're experiencing a different effect. The oscillations that I'm referring to only occur when using a rigid seat that connects the two roll cages together.
Really informative video. I own the Veteran seat but look forward to the seat Chris develops...I'm hoping it'll be a bit taller so I can favor my knees... Thank you Marty!
Great video Marty. Using notes seems to have cut down on the hesitation and backtracking. Makes for a big improvement in the quality and watchability. A very informative video. Thanks.
Thanks you for the review, if you would made an anchors on the video that would really help taking into account 30 min time. Thanks a lof for the video again!
I’m thinking of switching over to the veteran seat. I got the new seat that ewheels is selling (the Surron seat), and I personally am not a huge fan. This might sound like a weird complaint, but I just can’t get use to the added height that the seat adds. With the seat attached, the wheel is practically coming up to above my knee. Don’t get me wrong, the seat is definitely comfortable, but I just don’t feel like I have the same control that I do when I’m riding without the seat attached. Looks like the veteran seat doesn’t extend that far up, so I’m hoping that will be a better option for me.
Everyone is different for sure. The Sur Ron seat is wide for sure. Many people use a heat gun to soften the sides so they can be compressed, making the seat narrower. The Sherman seat doesn't add much cushion.
Thanks for the videos. I don’t know if it’s because I grew up in a very fast paced city (NY) but I couldn’t sit through the entire video. Too slow. I think I would need the Zoom seat to watch the rest later ;) #justbustingballs
Thanks marty enjoyed that. I know you said the zoomwheels seat is more comfortable BUT the vetran one looks badass 😎..(a bit like girls who wear stiletto shoes and can't walk ....but sure look good 🤣)....I only wish I had your idea of the velcro and I wouldn't have lost mine 🙈...defo getting another VETRAN one...could you start a crowd funding to get me a new one please 🤣🤣🤣🙏
Maybe cut a piece of yoga mat foam and velcro that onto the Sherman stock seat to make it more comfortable. Two stock seats, front and back, would give a near full seat, and still be cheaper. Not sure those plastic clips of the zoomwheels seat are going to be reliable and not snap/break during a ride sometime after cumulative stress/wear and tear. Plastics degrade from oxidation alone.
Thanks Marty! I paid $240 for mine 3 months ago lol And I know exactly what you mean by those oscillations especially when going over bumpy terrain. But I didn't know switching to medium or soft eliminates it?? I gotta try that lol

Hello Hello, There you for you great sharing.Thank you
Hello good afternoon, a question, how is the quality of the Veteran sherman, his battery, motor, etc?... is it worth buying this wheel (for its high value) or is it a disposable product? Will i have a product with years of life? or its durability is mediocre compared to other unicycles. (Google translator)
I don’t care about how comfy it is, the only time I’d use my seat is if I needed a quick break! I don’t like having the screen covered and not being able to use the trolley
@@ElectricUnicycles sorry I didn’t mean to make that seem kinda snarky I tried the new seat from ewheels and it was turning off my wheel so I’ve kinda decided that being able to see the screen would be best for me!
Tip for taking care of the seat. Use leather products for shoes or vaseline. To keep that faux leather moist. Problems happens when it completly dries up and it cracks. Real leather would need even more maintenance then this and would be unrideable during rain. 1 Ride in a rain you could throw it out.
