Nah I miss all the martialic drums from the 70-80s. That sounded like real military stuff. I mean what is this halfway through 1:50 ??? Is this a bazar in angola?
They are still always and forever great to me I will be the first one to tell you that I love you so much and enjoy and respect you for all of your dedication to your country and I hope that we can take the time to appreciate your sacrifice to your service and I hope you have a great holiday service and thank you for all you do to keep us safe and free
Not only is he serious because he's in the literal Marine Corps and this is a dedicated musical performance, but also because he couldn't play epic tenor sweeps and scrapes 😔
Dude no joke the RU-vid algorithm blessed me with this video and I was reading the comments. I read your comment and the replies before looking and realizing it was you😂😂😂
Since the Evening Parade got rained out tonight ( and no Facebook Live) , I decided I needed to get my fix of The Commandant's Own, and then this one showed up for me to see! (8-21-2020)
I've watched several of these "D&B Corps" parades. Actually the USMC should have two units: The drum unit and a separate brass unit. Most of these video segments are all drums.
*Randomly starts to play Halo theme* Men, we led those dumb bugs out to the middle of nowhere to keep 'em from gettin' their filthy claws on Earth. But, we stumbled onto somethin' they're so hot for, that they're scramblin' over each other to get it. Well, I don't care if it's God's own anti-son-of-a-bitch machine, or a giant hula hoop, we're not gonna let 'em have it! What we will let 'em have is a belly full of lead, and a pool of their own blood to drown in! Am I right, Marines?
Sure I'm Kinda new to getting into the military but can someone please explain what the red dress are? I've heard of dress blues and dress whites. But not dress reds? (Not entirely sure whats its called) Please don't make fun of me its a genuine question
I believe the dress reds are inverted from the dress blues and were traditionally worn by musicians only. Now, only the USMC Drum and Bugle Corp wears them. Edit: As Holton 345 said in the comments below, the "President's Own" and the Old Guard also wear the reds. Sorry, forgot about the "President's Own" and I thought we were just considering the marines, so I didn't think of the Old Guard.
The Marine Band website says "The tradition dates to the time of the Revolutionary War when field musicians were used to send signals on the battlefield and in camp and needed to be easily recognizable."
