Alright, a cat finally adopted me and we got to try out the Litter Robot with this cat! LOVE this thing, and since then, my cat has been using the Open Air litter robot like a champ. I put this automatic kitty litter box, the Litter Robot Open Air under my basement stairs and it works really well.

I bought one earlier this year, and it's been amazing. No more coming home to a smelly litter tray after work!

These are great. I have two for my three cats. I only got the second box when I adopted the boy kitten because he was bothering the middle aged females. It seemed like a good idea to provide an alternative location in case he was being bratty. I’ve had mine for about 5 years now. Huge improvement in my daily routine; catbox maintenance is once a week now but the box is cleaned every time they use it.

I have 2 litter robots and 7 cats and they work well. These machines help keep FIP away.

I've been considering for my 2 10-month old kittens. It sifts litter into the bottom bin, but when you have to empty that bin, isn't the odor bad since it's not sealed once you open that drawer? Just curious how to mitigate that? Thx

The smell reduction in the house is amazing. The waste is held in the plastic bag in the bottom, and with one cat, I only empty it once every 10 days. With 2, you'd likely have to do every 5 days. But it dries up and is less malodorous - plus there's an amazing charcoal filter in the bin.

Would you recommend one robot for each cat? I have 6.

Great question - as the Litter Robot provides a fresh bed of litter after each use. I generally recommend 1 Litter Robot per 3-4 cats in household, so you'd likely benefit from 2!

Dr. lee, what do I do if my dog ate an m&m pack? Like a little on that you would give to trick or treaters.

Depending on the weight of your dog, it's unlikely to be an issue, honestly. But you can always calculate it with ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center's free app and chocolate calculator!

Thank you for this review! When you mentioned dumping it once a week - how many cats was this for?

Sorry- just one cat. The more cats you have, check your Open Air app to see how full, but in general likely needs every 24-96 hours if you have more than 2-4!

Depends on how many you have - I only have 1 now so empty once a week. Check your Open Air connect app to see how full. May need to be every 24 hours if 4 cats to every 3-5 days if 2-3.

No, it doesn't, which is the amazing thing - it has a charcoal filter on the inside and doesn't make the basement smell like cat at all! :) That's why I LOVE it!
