This is a review video of the Vevor 8kw Diesel All in one portable heater. This is a very versitale and capable diesel heater. It's light weight and efficient. It runs off of Diesel fuel and needs a 12v battery connected to it to run. this is a great option if you need heat in a vehicle or small area. See the link below to the heater. The Chinese copies of these heaters have become very common in Europe this winter! The 8Kw and 5Kw in most cases have the exact same burner. The difference is the size of the pump and the max hertz setting on the controller. The ticking is the pump. On the lowest setting it is possible to run these to produce around 1Kw so 1 ltr of diesel will last around 8 hours. I recommend exhaust heat tape on the exhaust to prevent potential of burns. On startup the 8Kw pulls up to 10 or 11 amps from the battery but once running at temperature only pulls around 2 amps per hour. The initial pull is needed to get the glow plug up to temp.

@@Myksgarage Some pointers for you. The air hoses supplied can be stretched to full length. They are supplied compressed for ease of transportation/packing. You cannot extend your exhaust much but you already have the maximum allowed bends in your video. The silencer should be fitted with the weep-hole at the bottom, to allow any condensation to drain from the hole. They appear to be efficient because the heat output is far less than you think you are getting! It is certainly not capable of the advertised output claimed. More efficient operation would be where the cold air, for warming, is taken from inside the heated area. Yours is safer, as you pointed out, having it outdoors. Your battery does not need to be of large capacity if connected to a battery charger, which would run the heater after the starting sequence. A battery charger with ‘float’ mode would be best. You only need a larger battery if operating away from the grid or during longer grid failures. The battery is necessary for the final shut-down sequence, to avoid overheating the motherboard and possibly killing it. They are very good, if installed safely. Again, extending the warm air hose has limits. Too long will restrict the warm air throughput (and also the combustion air, leading to sooting in the heater casing). A good video on the installation. Well done.

Get an old steam radiator, and run the exhaust thru it to outside, I bought a 17 foot exhaust pipe. Why waste all that good heat!

8 hours on high and 30+ on low it dosnt drain the entire tank. The power usage drops after the glow plug shuts off.

That's pretty good

@@Myksgarage It cannot deliver 8kW. Doubtful even anywhere near 5kW. One tank-full, of 5 litres contains only around 53kWh of heat energy (maybe as much as 55kWh). With 80% efficiency, there is only 44kWh of warm air available, so the tank-full should only last 5 1/2 hours. If it lasts 8 hours without even draining the tank it is likely only about 5kW, or less. Actual specification of maximum fuel delivery per hour would indicate output. Many quote 0.51l/h, which would be 4.3kW, but lots do not feed at a pumping rate to deliver more than about 0.46l/hr which is even less output. Less than 4kW What is the real specification of your heater (not the advertising lies from the manufacturer)?

How many square feet do you think it could maintain? I'm considering this for a greenhouse. How hot does the exhaust pipe get?
@Myksgarage
@Myksgarage 10 месяцев назад
It could probably do 500-750square feet

@@Myksgarage IYO, could you extend the exhaust pipe to provide additional radiant heat?

That ticking is the dosing pump. Not a true fuel pump. All of the Espar and Webasto heaters have them. The ticking is a good sound. 😂

Wouldn't it be more efficient if its inside the space its heating? That way its not heating air thats as cold.

Yeah that would be best

read @oliver90owner, he suggests putting the air intake inside your heated space, but keep the burner outside to reduce sound of the pump and eliminate exhaust leaks from the heater unit being inside your space.

Does the heater recharge the battery during use?
@BrianNC81
@BrianNC81 Год назад
@@paulhart7739 no, the heater runs off of a 12v power source ( battery or 12v power supply) it does not have a wall outlet.
