there is a locking mech in place that holds the lift in place. it latches to the arms to keep them in a retracted position

semi-passive lock that activates when the pole pushes into the clamp and towards the back which causes the clamp to shut. When the clamp shuts there is a locking mechanism that keeps it in place.

The puncher leverages a slip gear that pull back a set of rack gears tensioning a set of rubber bands. Once it gets to the slip point, the tension built up in the rubber bands causes the puncher to launch forward hitting the Triball. Rinse and repeat. Hopefully this is explains things

Yeah that does look like a hand. Can you see a ratchet on the lift anywhere?

So it won’t actually work in a match… but with a locking mechanism that’s really good!
