Is your robot measurement is within what mentioned in :Chapter 9 discusses rules regarding robot expansion in the vertical and horizontal dimensions(within 18 inches limit)? Otherwise, nice design on wheel, gear, and balance corrdianted distribution.
It expands above the 18inch height limit while parking - especially 0:35 when they drive onto the blue parking platform (cap flipper jolts upwards). Just have to be careful about that, otherwise nice job.
Adam Fu we used to have an elevator that could reach the top post but that used 2 motors so we could only have a 2 motor drive so we were not able to go on the platform and it was pretty heavy. So we got rid of it which got rid of a bit of weight and we have 4 motors on the base.
Great bot. Our v5 just came in and we’re trying to redo our puncher with one smart motor. May I ask your gear ratio and how fast it is? It looks slower than our v4 motor but we can’t seem to keep the 1:1 gear ratio with v5
There was an official q&a answer saying that you are allowed to drive up a platform even though you robot is at an angle so it could be taller than 18 inches. I would assume the same is true here.
