That is an amazing robot, I do have one small question if you don't mind though, how did you hook up your shaft encoders, did you chain them to some of the wheels with sprockets or did you use some kind of gear system?
from what I can see it looks like you guys have an odometry system so do you use pure pursuit and or track the absolute position of your robot on the field?
Mason Campion no we do not use torque cartridges. We have a very balanced robot so when the load increases the base can counteract the turning force. Mecan gang op
What are your base dimensions? In holes? Not trying to holecount, just wondering bc our robot has a hard time stacking in the big zone. Ours is 26 holes wide but our intakes stick out a little bit
Amazing job! I want to build a dr4b as we have an existing four bar so transforming it to a dr4b would be relatively easy, but my teammates are too afraid to try it since in the past we haven't gotten things done in time for our next tourney. We have 21 days until our next tournament. I strongly believe we can get it done if we focus and ask for more build days from our teacher (we're a first year 6th grade team). My plan is to build the other segment of the dr4b separately, and then attach it to our four bar. What do you think?
Jack Guzek I would not recommend to rebuild so close to the competition. You could build a second bot but not dismantle the first one. I hope this helped 😃
@@7krobotics965 OK sounds good! Do you think in a state competition a four bar with a multi-cube clamp could qualify for states? I have an idea for an extending claw and I hope that it could reach stacks of 8. What do you think? Thanks!
Lol, just spent an hour looking at ur cube locking mechanism, at 1:15 I was ready to finally get a good look at the underside and how it worked, but damn it, you seem to blur and cut your film at the right moments so people can't see it. NJ I guess haha.
@@ruzzcraze1862 I'm not saying they had to, and I'm sorry if I came off as antagonistic. I was just trying to figure it out and I just about fell over laughing when I saw the message they put.
Pradyun Narkadamilli we use rubber bands to deploy the rack and a mechanical holder for it not to deploy before hand. We show it at the beginning when we do the deploy
