This is a wild idea we had but on the second upper part of the lift have you considered somehow positioning a piston such that it can tilt that tray so you can score in both directions. Idk if you get that but it would essentially just be a piston that when retracted the tray outtakes in one direction then extends to pivot the tray and outtake in the other direction
