I don't care what anyone says, the F14 will always remain the king of the Air. She was the best in her class with the right Aircrew. I heard many pilots say that if they flew her at the edge of her capabilities, it scared them. I made 2 Westpacs with VF51 (1988 / 90) with the A model. On board the Chucky V. Uss Carl Vinson CVN70. I wish that aircraft.
It's not though. The F-14 is currently out of service and is only flown by Iran, and, many other aircraft have surpassed the F-14 in just about everything.
Even though this didnt happen in reality the DCS games have amazing graphics! I served with VF-103 Sluggers 1990-1992 and we were the first on station for desert shield/desert storm. This brings back so many good memories on the flightdeck of the USS Saratoga CV-60. The squadron name & logo was chanded to the Jolly Rogers when VF-84 was decommissioned. ANYTIME , ANYWHERE BABY!!!
Im not sure you understand how DLC works. But thanks. Lets take the first trap for example: 1. the DLC system has a neutral an UP and a Down Position. With the AOA that tomcat was flying you cannot see the DLC Spoilers position, so it may have been in the Up or the down position at the time. as soon as the Tomcat lands the Pilot selects Military Power or Afterburner, that will automcatically retract the DLC and the Speedbreak and as such you did not see it extended when the tomcat taxied off the landing area. I hope that cleared things up. DLC is always used you cannot fly a safe pass without it.
They did indeed. The start with Adm. Thomas Connolly in it is from the VF-31 video. Which in turn the guys from VF-31 took from a 1970 instructional video. (Also it’s VF and not Vf)
The f 14 never came back. Vf 103 did their last cruise in 2005with the f 14 in 2006. The navy never brought back the f14.i did the last cruise with vf 103. This is such a fake video.
@@seankukorlo7445 Dope, well anyways. DCS is a Simulator where you can fly the F-14 Tomcat with Multiple players. We pay Homage to VF-103 and VFA-34. There is actually a few people who were also in VF-103 flying with us.
